Throw all discussion here.

Hope Dave didn't throw his top shit in the first season, though I would still love to see more Tyrone Biggums skits. Hopefully he ditches the crap music video at the end.

I hope season 2 is as good. And I'm not a big rap fan, I actually kinda like some of the rappers he had on last season, but the show could really do without them.

i think the show will definitely blow up this season. agreed, the show is not long enough to have a music segment, but if they gave him an hour, it would be perfect. he got some stand up acts (talib/ mos, dls) and i'm sure he could probably get the likes of 50› at this point.

I love the music acts (Probably the only "big" show playing quality "indie" hip-hop acts like that), but the show is just too short to have them. Give Dave a full hour!

that man cannot not be funny.

I, on the other hand, try too hard.
George: Maybe you don't have to be so funny. I mean, would it kill you not to be so funny all the time? That's all I'm asking. This woman thinks I'm very funny. Now you're gonna be funny, so what am I gonna be? I'm gonna be a short
bald guy with glasses who suddenly doesn't seem so funny.
Elaine: This is so ridiculous. Can we just go over there?
Jerry: I don't have to be funny, I don't care.
George: You don't?
Jerry: No way! It's completely under my control.
Elaine: No, it's not. You cannot not be funny.
Jerry: Of course I can, am I being funny now?
Elaine: A little.

I was very disappointed that the Playa haters convention was not the best ofs they've been playing last week.

In the very first episode there was the sketch making fun of the Mitsubishi dancing girl commercial. He showed part where the girl's shirt slipped a bit and there was a nipple that was blurred. But that was about 1/100th of a second long.

At the expense of sounding again like Mikey D-ish, I have two very good friends both connected to Chappelle in some respect - one was a local stand up comic, and use to perform here in DC with David, Wanda Sykes, Patton Oswald and Martin Lawrence "back in the day." Chappelle was only 14 back then and his mom use to take him to the comedy clubs, and stay there with him during the act.

The second friend lives in Ohio and buys his pot from the same person that sells David his.

Other than that, I think David is one of the funniest stand up comics out there, period. I remember about 10 years ago seeing him for the first time on Letterman, and my jaw dropped, I thought he was so funny.

He deserves huge success.

Well, let's be practical...I think USB was one of the funniest shows EVER...but their ratings stunk. They weren't even pulling in half of what "Chappelle's Show" does. At the end of the third season, they simply opted to not renew what was no doubt a financial sinkhole pretty much the entire time it was on.

Original television costs them more money than crap like MadTV reruns, so if the UCB's ratings don't cut it, they won't continue to produce it.

They have to shell out each time they play an episode. They probably just showed a few late night eps to drum up some support for the new (And totally righteous) season 1 UCB DVD.

<b>Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum,

Then along come two, they got nothing but their Dreams.

But they got, Diff'rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

Everybody's got their special kind of story
Everybody finds a way to shine,

They should have had Rick James do the musical segment, Bitch!

Has he performed since the stroke?

Just the commercials for this episode had me nearly in tears, and the show itself was even better.

I never bothered to pay attention to when it was on last season since the replays were so plentiful I don't think I missed much. But this season, it looks like I finally have something to watch on Wednesdays.

The oly thing about this season that I don't like is the musical guests are more well known than last seasons. Small gripe for a great show.

Charlie Murphy True Hollywood Stories are hilarious, I just hope he doesn't run out.

And I would definitely pay to see the band:

Vocals: Dave Chappelle
Guitar: John Mayer
Drums: Guy from the Roots (?)
Keyboards: The hispanic guy

That would kick ass.

No way. Wimmenz ain't funny, not even like that.

Dave's record seems to be fine if he does a sketch twice, and that's it. L'il Jon...twice. Charlie Murphy's Stories? Twice. The good "Keepin' It Real's?" Twice.

Third times the anti-charm.

Multiple appearances are fine. There's a pretty small core group of actors, so that's to be expected. But notice how many times Mooney did each sketch so far.
