Tonight I had plans to meet one of my proofreaders for dinner. All day I thought about calling her and postponing it for another night, but I decided to go. She's really nice and I know she feels kinda of isolated since she works from home.

I was supposed to meet her at Penn Station at 6pm. I took the PATH train and got to Penn around 5:55. I planted myself right in front of the entrance on 32nd and 7th (as planned) so we wouldn't miss each other. I waited for close to 40 minutes and she was a no show! I can't believe it! I froze my ass off waiting for nothing! I even brought part of a project she was working on for me!

Grrrr! Like she's getting anymore work from me!

It's an embarrassing tale of "tard v. tard." I told her I'd meet her at the stairs/escalators at 32nd and 7th. I was there. As was she. She was downstairs. I was outside. D'OH!!!!!

She called me the next day and asked what happened. We laughed and both felt really, really dumb.

We rescheduled. We'll meet this Wednesday. Outside of Zaro's at Penn.

And, to her credit, she Fed Ex'd me homemade chocolate chip cookies. She's a good kid.
