Otis likes to keep his toys in his food dish. He also likes to knead my scalp and suck my hair when I'm trying to sleep.
Alice scratches the walls of the litterbox after she poos. She also likes to lay across my arms when I'm on the computer.
Lloyd, on occasion, has tried to suckle on Otis. Otis was not to be having that.

Petco (hamster) - doesn't do much but look hairy.
Perry - he's an outdoor cat (yes, I know there should be no such thing) he's fat and happy and tends to yell out around 05:00 for food. That's not cute.
Charlie - he's a youngun. Indoor cat. Learning bad habits from Perry.
Maxie-Stones Old time orange cat.
I guess he paws/pads under the door at 05:00 are the thing that is weird. How do they know?!?!

My cat, Gavin, does that as well - I think I figured out why. She's trying to keep her manicured nails looking nice. She can't wander around with *gasp* Poo under those nails.
She also prefers to sleep on either a Black or a White shirt, lying the laundry room floor.
Gavin is a Black and White cat, too..Hmmm.
She's doing her chameleon-act?
Also, during the day she always has to sleep under a quilt or blanket; during the night, she always sleeps on top of the quilt.

Rom (the SpaceKnight) waits in the bathroom for me to get out of the shower, so he can jump in as soon as I'm done, so he can try to lift the tub mat that's stuck due to the water. He doesn't due it when it's dry, but he does lay in the tub at night.

Our first cat Ginger 'rest her cat soul' loved to rub her head in my underarm. She'd lay on her side with her claws gripped onto my side and bury her head in there and fall asleep.
Our older(8 years) female ZuZu does this once in awhile but also likes to nibble the skin with her front teeth. Usually i can take it but sometimes she bites a little too hard...

Stella does that except she's probably about ten times bigger than your fox terrier, at about 70 lbs.
She's also smart. When she farts, usually she does it and then gets up and leaves the area.

My Golden Retriever Haley burps loudly, and it's usually right in my face. Falls asleep with her head hanging off the couch, while still clutching a tennis ball in her mouth. Likes to grab dirty socks outta the laundry pile and run around the house with them right after she eats a meal. Throws her chew toys in the air with her mouth and catches them back. While I'm laying on the bed watching TV, she'll jump up with a tennis ball in her mouth and spit it at my head.........and if I give her the middle finger, she'll bite at it and growl.

My cat Mr. Freda prefers to drink out of a cup using his paw. He likes to drink juice and coffee.
He waits until the cup is nearly empty and then sticks his paw into the cup to the juice at the bottom, and licks his paw to "drink" whatever was in the cup.
My cats also do that stupid thing where they scratch the side of the litter box instead of the actual litter.
They also lick each other on the bed, but sometimes its forced licking, where one cat holds the other down with his paw and violently licks the other.

My dog , Annie, pee's like a male...
Barney (my family's Beagle) did the same thing, from the other side of the equation...he would squat like a girl dog to pee. This was because he broke his front, left leg when he about 8 months old (needing pins & screws to reconstruct, the whole bit), so he never had the balance to lift his leg. He still squats today, at 16 years old & 55 pounds...but now it's more because he's old as dirt & horribly overweight.
My Golden Retriever Haley burps loudly, and it's usually right in my face.
My present dog, Cabo (named after the tequila because when she was young she used to run around & slam into walls like a drunk), does this all the time. She's the gasiest dog I've ever known.
at any given moment he may decide to start running through the house at mach speed, then stop abruptly
Another one of Cabo's favorite pasttimes. She a Canaan, which is very much like a terrier, only bigger. She's about 50 pounds of pure muscle, and doesn't bother avoiding objects in her path all that often. Needless to say, no more fancy blown glass candle holders are left on coffee tables or end tables that she could bump & knock over.
And perhaps her favorite game of all time commences whenever she is kissing or snuggling, at head level, with my girlfriend. She rips the scrunchie out of her hair & sprint around playing keep-away with it for 10 or 15 minutes. Then without warning she plops herself on the couch, decide the game is over, spits out the scrunchie, & drops off into a coma-like sleep.

Alice loves coffee ice cream. I don't know if it was the caffeine or the sugar or both, but after she ate it she ran around the apartment at top speed and just spazzed out.
Then she crashed. Hard.

Floyd (watching us now from the Dead Kitty Dimension) used to scoop his dry food into the water bowl one piece at a time and wait 'til it was moist before eating it. Wouldn't touch wet food, though. Also he'd watch intently then knock Dorito chips out of my hand as they approached my mouth and have a helluva time trying to eat it at its full size. When he was a kitten his litter box was at the bottom of the stairs and he'd have no trouble going down, but when he was done with his business he'd cry to be taken back upstairs (I guess from that angle the stairs looked a lot more menacing).
Isobel, who now has the whole place to herself, doesn't have too many odd behaviours, but she does like to chase the flashlight light and any reflection (usually accidental, like from a CD, or a watch). She meows at it (in that cute "There's my friend!" way) and watches, chases and talks to it whevever it goes.
They both (used to) dart out of the litter box like their asses are/were on fire. Floyd used to talk a lot. Isobel never said a "word" until Floyd was gone. Now ya can't shut her up. Especially when she's hungry. Still, she's cute. Not the least bit annoying.

Canaans don't bark, right??
You're absolutely right, the first few nights we had her home (we adopted her from the local "Paws" shelter), we thought she was broken because she didn't make a peep for what seemed like weeks. They told us she was a mixed terrier mutt & all I knew about terriers were that they were hyper & didn't exactly have a strong bark, but loved to use it.
Then, the first time my girlfriend & I were play-fighting and she heard my girlfriend's hand make a slapping noise as she whacked me on the arm...Cabo went nuts. But because she sees herself as my girlfriend's protector, she dove at me. She was still playful & didn't bite me, but she surprised the hell out of us with a deep, gutteral bark & howl that made both of us jump.
The other cool thing about her bark, as infrequently as we hear it, is the growl/moan she does sometimes (kinda like a Basenji). It's even funnier when she drags it out & flaps her mouth open & shut...you would swear she was trying to form words & talk to you.

The only things Cabo is consistantly scared of are:
- plastic garbage bags: especially if the wind blows & they seem to move on their own..she'll dart out of the room in fear, God help you if you're in the way.
- vaccuum: this one's pretty much a given with most dogs, I believe, but with my pooch it doesn't even have to be on & making noise. You could put a steak & a bowl of ice cream in the middle of the floor & tell her she can have them...if the vaccuum is between her & the food, it'll never get touched.

Zooey (the yellow lab) is like that too. She flips out as soon as she sees it & bolts upstairs. Stella on the other hand couldn't care less. I can even use the attachment to vacuum her, and she just looks at me like what the fuck are you doing? Zooey doesn't like fireworks, either, but again Stella couldn't care less. My neighbors were so surprised July 4th when they saw me walking her during the fireworks; they'd had to sedate their 4 dogs.

Alice LOVES the car and is always up for a ride. She likes to sit in the passenger seat and watch the scenery go by. I always bring her if I'm going to a quick trip to the store. By the time we get home she's purring like a maniac.
She also has a weird fascination with the chihuahua across the hall. Whenever she hears Tequila she runs to the door. I'll open it and they'll both stare at each other. They don't know what to make of each other. He weighs about 6 lbs, she's pushing 18.
