now before you go linking me to the racism thread, hear me out.
i'm sitting here waching the food network and i was wondering, whats the difference between the brown eggs and the white eggs. i'm starting to cook alot more cause the wife is taking care of the baby, so i'm trying to be more creative as i go along. is there really a difference between the two types? (at least wait till someone answers the question before you reply with the dumb jokes)

White shelled eggs are produced by hens with white feathers and ear lobes. Brown shelled eggs are produced by hens with red feathers and red ear lobes.

if I'm wrong someone correct me, I was way off with my first guess.

I think they differ in what route they take out of the hen...

Hens with white feathers and white earlobes will lay white eggs, whereas hens with red feathers and matching-colored earlobes give us brown eggs

...hens have earlobes?

There is no difference, theyll taste the same. The chickens I have, some of them lay brown, some white, and the rest all blue, they taste the same. There is a difference though, between free range chicken eggs and the ones you get in the store. The yolks from mine are a dark yellow, almost an orange, and they taste alot better then store bought. Many stores have the cage free eggs now, try them and youll see (though mine still seem darker). Also, the presence of the rooster also seems to make the chickens lay darker eggs. The ones that are store bought come from chickens that probably have never seen a rooster.
A chicken egg is like a womans period. With the chickens I have, the roosters fu›ks them all the time, so the eggs are fertilized. If I took all the eggs that they lay in a week, and saved them away from the cold, then put them under a chicken that was ready to sit on them, they would all begin to grow and theyd all hatch at the same time regardless of when they were layed. Cool huh?

Also <a href="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/viewmessages.cfm/Forum/52/Topic/8557/page/brown_egg_or_white_eggs.htm">here</a> is an old thread on it and <a href="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/viewmessages.cfm/Forum/69/Topic/7649/page/Brown_eggs_and_White_eggs.htm">here</a> is another that is almost exactly the same as this one ("Hens have earlobes?"). Weird.

Brown eggs are local eggs, and local eggs are fresher.

Or something like that.

The brown ones are more athletic, but don't make for good quarterbacks.....what? I'm talking about eggs!

Does he walk around wearing a hen beater t-shirt?
