Here is an article (http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/22/technology/circuits/22next.html?ex=1075438800&en=1113f6c29a9f384d&ei=5 062&partner=GOOGLE) about how researchers studied the methods of a group of people as to how they save pages they want to visit again.

When the researchers looked at how people returned to sites they had visited before, they discovered that context made all the difference. When subjects in their study had the chance to describe a site in their own words and were given the description six months later, they had little trouble finding the site again. Yet in today's typical bookmark applications, users cannot annotate sites they save.

Usually I have no difficuly using the Favorites or Bookmark feature; I have them organized into subfolders within my Favorites folder, each subfolder called something like; Bank,Computers,Governmant,Jobs,Reference,Science,S hopping, etc. How do you sort your stuff? I also have the links I go to most often under my address bar for even more speedy access.

I don't save them. I don't think I've ever used my favorites. Most of my sites I visit often enough that my address bar remembers them. The other sites are usually easy enough to find again with a google search if I need to, since that's probably the way I found them in the first place.

Well, Ive noticed with alarming concern how some people where I work keep track of stuff. My father is so bizzare how he uses the computer, its comical. My fathers monitor is framed by post it notes with obscure web addresses on it. I do the email thing thats in the article too, and I send stuff to myself and keep a special email folder for stuff both at my regular email and on yahoo email so I can access it from outside of home. I even keep copys of my resume on my yahoo acct. so I could pull it up if I was ever in some place that I wanted to apply to and wasnt expecting to be offered anything. I know I went off track with this, but its a similar idea

I put them in Favorites and organize them into folders, i.e., "Bands," "Sigs," "Blogs," "Porn," etc...

i don't play favorites. this is only one of like 3 sites i go to anyway. i've honestly seen everything there is to see on the internet. even porn doesn't interest me anymore. and if you don't like porn, whats a computer good for?

Most of the time I'll book mark 'em and just say "I'll organize them later". Considering I have hundreds of bookmarks, it's impossible to organize, rename and file all of the bookmarks I have.
