Sunndoggy, its a urban legend. It can only stay in your system up to a month, all the rest of the evidence goes in ur piss, which gets pissed out. lol. :)

I take a very Darwinian approach to the whole thing; survival of the fittest, I say! Those cells that are killed off are probably worthless and weak, and have no right being around to possibly be passed along to future generations. The ones that do survive are the stuff of legend - strong, proud, and chivalrous.

Pot, specifically THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), stays in the body only 3-5 days in casual users and up to a few weeks in heavy users.

Here's the potential good news. Although the brain cells you are born with do not regenerate, last years some scientists (I believe at Cornell University) sucessfully grew some new brain cells (by stimulating the hippocampus) in a lab dish. The potential implications of this are huge and far reaching.

Unfortunately, any practical applications (such as replacing the brain cells of people who lost them due to Alzheimers, or the indiscretions of youth) are many years away. We have to hope that Bush does not cut funding to this branch of scientific inquiry as he's done to so many others that he's incapable of understanding. (Talk about a guy who could really benefit from extra brain cells!)
