Was it a truck full of Port-O-Johns? Cuz he might not have actually won that prize.

It's the Alanis-Morisette type.

iúroúny

The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning.
An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning.
A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect. See Synonyms at wit1.

Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs: "Hyde noted the irony of Ireland's copying the nation she most hated" (Richard Kain).
An occurrence, result, or circumstance notable for such incongruity. See Usage Note at ironic.

For example, it might be ironic if he was going to use the money on himself for a life-saving operation and the reason he got hit by the truck was that he was so happy he had won the money that he wasn't paying attention to traffic.

OOooh! Ooooh! But what if the person driving the truck was his doctor, and the lottery winner crashed through the window of said-truck, sending shattered glass everywhere, including the eyes of the doctor...AND THEN, the only ones left to save the winner was the aliens, but we can't communicate with them, because we haven't translated their rosetta stone-like book "To Serve Man."?!

THAT would be like ironic X 1,000,000!
