My tires got slashed!!

This past weekend my boyfriend's band had a gig at Double D's...we all took one car, I left mine in his driveway. None of the usual 'fans' who usually attend were there (Mostly his little sister's friends). Well, we get home, hang out for a while and such, and when I wake up in the morning, I notice my car is a little slanted. Both my front and rear passenger tires were flat. Just the day before, the front passenger was flat, and I got it repaired. So I assume that maybe there's something wrong with my car. Nope. The guy at the shop says the tires had identical slashes in the side wall. First off, I'm wondering why someone would do something like this. I have no (known) enemies, I'm friends with and get along with everyone that usually hangs out. I'm ruling out the fact that it was just some punk trick, since my car was pulled all the way up the driveway, and you'd need some major gazongas to just go wandering onto someone's property to slash two tires on a 1995 Toyota Tercel. Also, what does this prove? Oh, You Told Me buddy... You're Cool...It wasn't much of an inconvenience to me except I'm out $50 on new tires. This kind of vandalism seems kind of pointless. It's almost kind of scary, thinking that someone is targeting me. Anyone have a similar experience?

No, I didn't file a report. I did think about it, but it just seemed like a waste of time. The cops will never find out who did it. If the truth ever comes out, I'd like to deal with that personally. There may be some pain involved. :eg:

Some punk fuckers got my Dad's brand new Corvette in his driveway, with the motion decector flood lights on. Slashed the two left side tires, and there were marks where they tried to do the right, and gave up. Goodyear Run-Flats. $500. A piece. My folks live in a rich neighborhood where the kids do shit like that because they think they're invincible. I think a reasonable punishment should be that the courts order them to do it in some seedy neighborhood in D.C. That'll show 'em who the tough guys are.

When I was a kid my father got into a fight with a kid across the street ( I was about 8 and that kid was was about 17. My father was about 50). So he thought he'd be cool and give my father a flat tire during the night. Then he thought it would be OK to do it again the next night. Well, my Father thought it would be funny to wait for this asshole with a baseball bat. Dad never really tried to hit him, but did take a few swings that happened to hit his parent's cars.

I used to work in this residential area. The peons in my company were not allowed to use either of the 2 parking lots my company had, so we were stuck to park on the streets. There were no signs saying "no parking allowed", but several residents would get pissed about us parking in front of their houses. Do you have anything to do with Joe Poo or a small red muppet? The same thing happened to me...I mean um...errr the "victim" 2 years ago this month (cue dramatic music). All 4 tires slashed on a busy street in Midtown Manhattan after midnite.

Do you know how much of a pain it is to get a tow and then find a tire place at 4 am?!?! Gotta love the city for being open 24 hrs like that.
