Is this legit?

I just got an e-mail from SNverify24758@aol.com re: an account error and if I don't reply to it, my SN will be termintated due to violation of TOS agreement.

It looks legit but is it? Because when you click on a link to reply, it has the SN and enter password screen on it for verification and words like "if you don't reply now your account will be terminated". But when you look at the http address it reads-http://www.aol.com@208.56.103.164/aol/ <---something like that.

So is this sometype of scam to steal my password? Cuz the real AOL states specifically that they will never ask for your password.

I had problems with AOL once, someone got control of my email address and sent out something like 100 emails. What AOL will do if they think there may be something fishy going on is deny everyone access to your account (including you) and tell you to call them. They will give you a new password and you proceed from there. If I were you I would be extremely wary of this "account error".

before you even think about opening the email, call custmer service at aol. any problems with your account can be cleared up there. plus they can make you aware of any menacing emails/ or you can report this one. here's the #: 1-800-827-6364

An official email by aol would be in a blue email window, if its in a regular email window, just call up aol and ask about it. More than likely it an email to get your password.

first, format your hard drive, and be sure to delete AOL from the comp. then, turn the comp off, unplug it, throw it out the window, and never ever go online again

Clue 1 - re: Did you send them an email first? Then why are they replying to you?

Clue 2 - return email addresses are easy to fake, but "SNverify24758"? Why would aol use a number email address on their own system?

Clue 3 - the @ sign, which means login, not site. So teh login name is www.aol.com for the site.

Clue 4 - /aol/ Why would AOL name a directory AOL on their own site?

Did you try to login or give credit card info on that site?
