CNBC is the roman numeral for "Funny" (http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/CNBCTV/Articles/Dispatches/P73346.asp)
Hopefully Disney will go bankrupt after this.
So "Cars" is the last Pixar/Disney movie right? 5 picture deal? Bugs, Monsters, Nemo, Incredibles and Cars? Eff Disney!

They'll do better without Disney. They needed them for the distro and promotion of Toy Story. Now, Pixar is bigger than Disney (in animated films).

Michael Eisner has been running that company into the ground for years, and now he's splitting with the company that is responsible for the only hit movies Disney's had in years

He isn't splitting with them by choice. Disney just isn't giving Pixar what they want. Pixar doesn't need Disney so they don't have to accept the little that Greedy Disney is offering. They do all the work, and I'm sure another studio would be willing to work with them.
I can't wait to see them go bankrupt and have to sell Mickey Mouse to Warner Brothers or someone else...

Well it all came down to Disney being assholes that was the start of the problems.
And a lot of it had to do with Toy story 2.
This was a major sticking point in the negotiations. Disney didn't want to count Toy Story 2 as one of the 5 because it was a Sequal, not an original idea, and orignialy is was to be a direct to video release. The people of Pixar ,Including Steve Jobs (Why is he everyone's bitch?) felt insulted by this and have been looking for other options ever since. I think I read that on Aint it cool news like a year and a half ago. And I think Pixar has made it's reputation strong enough that it doesn't need Disney for the disribution, but it's all of the secondary stuff like merchandising that will catch up with them later on.

What Hosp said is right, except that it originally wasn't being counted because it was a straight to video sequel. Once they decided it was going to the theatres, it became an issue.
And rumor has it they've already talked with, but not "had talks with" Warner.
