I'm watching this show on VH1 called Bands Reunited (http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/bands_reunited/series.jhtml) it's pretty cool so far, they go to each member of a band that broke up and try to get them to reunite and throw a reunion concert.
Tonight's show features the band The Alarm, other bands like Squeeze are featured as well.

I saw the Berlin one which was really good and I saw Kajagoogoo one which sucked the lead singer was still an arrogant dick, 20 years later he thinks hes a rock star.
I'm looking forward to Squeeze.

Squeeze is tonight but it is only a half an hour. The Frankie one was pretty funny they did not perform at the end. Holly Johnson the big queen did not want to participate. The Berlin episode was very good I used to love the album "Pleasue Victim".

I'm ashamed to say I saw the Klymaxx episode this past weekend (nothing was on and I was playing on my computer anyway). Fairly entertaining show. Looking forward to seeing eps of bands I like/liked.

"I might like you better if we slept together..."
That song fucking RULED.
Funny thing about Franky, there was a band touring around the states (Mostly just the south and midwest) that was using their name, and billing themselves as the REAL Franky...and people bought it! They were booked solid week after week and did it for over a year until the real Franky finally busted them. Apparently the "fake" Franky tried to sue to keep using the name, because THEIR lead singer had been like a session a keyboardist on one Franky song way back in the day...pathetic...

I saw them at the Fairfax fair a few years ago. The bass player said he was in the band and the lead singer said he was the brother of Holly Johnson. They had a black guy and some other dude playing drums and bass. It was pretty funny they were trying to hook up with these girls who were having a barbecue. The bass player was like you have plenty of beer we will be by.
The Romeo Void show was cool, I never remember seeing their videos back in the day. I had never seen the lead singer before that episode, the band got shafted by the record execs.

No kidding.
Fine, so the lead singer wasn't a looker. They had a GREAT sound for the time, and some killer singles. Talk about getting the shaft for the shallowest of reasons...

I thought Holly Johnson died of the HIV.
I saw the Flock of Seagulls one the other day. Very moving indeed.

Spin did a story on the "fake" Frankie a few years ago. It was great, because it was presented to the band as a straight interview/puff piece, but it turned into an expose. The lead singer at different times said he was Holly Johnson's brother, then when investigation proved otherwise, he said he was his cousin. When investigation proved otherwise yet again, he claimed that he, along with another member of fake Frankie, were session players on "Welcome to the Pleasuredome". Further investigation showed that no one in fake Frankie had any connection to the original band whatsoever.
Which gives me an idea...next week Snoogans, Mojo, MizzleTizzle and i will be touring as Led Zeppelin

And anyone who doesn't think Squeeze is one of THE best pop groups...EVER...is nuts. Period.
And anyone into them NEEDS to pick up this collection...it blows the two available US best-of's out of the water. Yeah, it's an import, but all of their other albums are out of print here in America, so you'll have to shell out anyways, and this has a whole disc of rare b-sides, all wrothy of being a-sides.

Disappointed that Squeeze did not 'do the deed'
Romeo Void episode was kinda sad - my heart goes out to that sax player
Overall, disappointed in the show itself...not enough performance/rehearsal footage

I caught the last half of the Extreme show on Sunday (yeah I was THAT bored). What idiots they are that they just couldn't possibly even comprehend the concept of getting together one last time, let along doing one last show. They were a nothing band and shoud be greatful that anyone would even consider to ask about reuniting them.
I'd love to see bands like The Police reunited, or Guns and Roses, The Cure, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, etc...

Did someone take the lead singer aside and tell him that he wasn't a member of Van Halen anymore?

That was like Bobby Ewing's death on "Dallas". It was all a bad dream.

I saw the Berlin one last Friday. I knew nothing about them except the Top Gun song. But I was totally drawn into the show. I thought it was great! Looking forward to see others.
Was I wrong for thinking Terri Nunn of Berlin is hot?
Not wrong at all! She is smoking and better looking than she was 20 years ago.

I caught most of the first half of the Extreme ep. Everone was pretty much in except Nuno Bettencourt, the man the show even attributed to being the musical talent behind the band. I gotta catch the second half to see how far Gary was willing to go to try and get Nuno to join them.
And the Squeeze ep was a disappointment. Would have loved to see the reunion.
I'd love to see bands like The Police reunited, or Guns and Roses, The Cure, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, etc...
The Cure broke up? Did anyone inform the band? They're playing Cochella this year.

Actually it just feels like they have because I haven't seen a new album from them in a long time. I did see a compilation cd set the other day at Tower that I want to check out. I hope they make some new music, I love the Cure.

I love the Cure, but their "we're breaking up...AGAIN"-schtick is getting old. It's happened like three or four times at this point.
And the new box set is a HUGE let down.
