Godsmack sounded exactly like Alice in Chains when they started. Alice in Chains actually has a song called Godsmack on Dirt.

But I like them.

Should have gone with the Strokes. That would have been the better joke.

I saw a great cover band on Long Island a few years ago called The Touch. They did very faithful recreations of 80s tunes.

I thought that by law you weren't allowed to leave the DC area?

Joshua Tree, I guess, but I'm not a huge U2 fan.

ook but does Joshua Tree get all into the "ACT" part of the show? This band, sounds & looks almost exactly like Van Halen David Lee Roth Days.

They let me go after I told them that I had to shoot a video.

Godsmack sounded exactly like Alice in Chains when they started. Alice in Chains actually has a song called Godsmack on Dirt. Not to mention the fact that they have similar symbols. That Godsmack douche bag with the queer star on his face claims it's some sort of Wiccan symbol I think. Why was this necessary?

yeah, they do. I dunno about with the new singer as "2U", but when Laird was the singer. Well, ok, the entire band except for Laird, but still...

Sabbra Caddabra for Black Sabbath and the Soft Parade doors cover bands. Both are pretty impressive, and both a common places for the jersey folks.

If you're ever in the LA area, and are a fan of old VH (I don't know if you stumbled onto Unchained or are actually into Van Halen) check to see if the Atomic Punks are playing. They are so good, it's almost scary. I saw them about 5 years ago when I was in California & they blew me away.

As for Unchained, I thought they stopped playing when the lead singer left (holy irony!)...and that they only played in England...where did you see them?

A Fire Inside (AFI).

Although I'm not sure they actually did any, you know, covers.
