A question about removing Spyware Adware

My computer was acting really slowly lately, i called gateway and they said it was due to spyware. They gave me a number to call but i have to pay extra for that. is there a website where i can download the program for free?

I'll jump on the pile. Run them both (and any anti-virus software you may have) Make sure they are updated (both are easy to update) and you'll be good to go!

Spybot has a message saying "hey you got Adaware" don't worry let them both work on your Disks!

Anti-virus don't do dick except slow down your computer and internet connection and fuck up your programs and downloads.

I haven't had an anti-virus program for about seven years now, and the same e-mail addresses for about ten. Why are people still opening e-mails and attachments from people they don't know?!?

I've never had a problem with my antiviral software, but it has protected me from virii in the past.

I run Spybot Search & Destroy and 'fix' everything it finds. Then i open IE and immediately get popups "What The?"...

I also spray my PC down with Lysol to help prevent germs and viruses... Forest Fresh is very nice

you need to update the listing for spybot to capture newer spyware .....

also check your files and folders for any rogue items that have not been purged, i still tend to find small applications and their baggage in windows explorer .....
