No more cold hand for me! (Triple Topic)

I just got this remote for my TV and to my amazement it works from beneath my covers...a nice big comforter and sheet. It works really well from just between the sheet and comforter, but not as well under both. Therefore, I stick my arm between the two. So I don't have to stick my hand out to channel surf and get it all chilly...its great, almost every morning I wake up with the TV still on and the remote either near my hand, dropped to the floor with the battery cap off of it (which can be a bitch to find) or actually still in my hand.

Do all remotes do this or did i just have a crappy one before? Also, what is your Comforter/blanket/sheet situation? Finally, Do you sleep with the TV on?
