Best Original Screenplay

The screenplay categories are my favorite. They are where the most original movies, and my usual favorites have the best chance of nomination.

My favorite here is "Dirty Pretty Things." I thought it was the most original and thoughtful of the group. But I don't think it has a chance because it came out early and it didn't get enough hype. After that I'd be satisfied with "Lost in Translation," but my cynical prediction is "Nemo."

This is also the biggest snub of the year for "The Station Agent" not getting at least the nomination for original screenplay.

I voted for "Lost" because it's so fuckin' perfect.

But "In America" winning would be pretty righteous.

"Nemo" is out because anything with fart jokes simply should not win ANYTHING.
