Ultimately, I hate all of these choices. I
eat at my local pizzeria, but when it's
10pm on a sunday, these are the
choices:

I had to go with Pizza Hut, by default.

Never eaten Sbarros, Little Caesar's, or Papa Johns. Had Dominos only once, & that was one time too many.

I voted Sbarro's, just because the locations not in malls kicked ass. Closes thing to "mom 'n' pop" slice pulled off by a chain. But now they seem to all be in malls, and those are the worst.

I'd pick Little Caesar's, but aren't they long out of business? I haven't seen one in a good 7-8 years.

The only chain I TRULY loved was a Midwest-based mini-chain called Godfather's Pizza. I think It spread with like a location or two in Philly and DC, but then folded about 10-12 years ago. It was HEAVEN.

Unfortunately, I live with roommates who actually REFUSE to get "indie" pizza, and only go for chains. I think they're trying to kill me.

There is a little pizza place in Sea Cliff owned by a guy whos ancestors came from Africa who makes a damn good pizza! Also, as far as chains go, if Mama Theresa gets a few more locations, I think it'll be a contenda!
I never seen Sbarros outside of a mall, but to me they always were all show and no taste. When Pizza Hut came out and they had the "deep dish" one, me and my friends went there to try it because the commercials seemed like it was so good, but when we got there and it came to the table, we were like...wtf?? Its like a frisbee!!

There's at least three Little Caeser's within a five mile radius of my place. I'd be half-tempted to go to one, since they offer "large" pizzas for $5 a pop, but for $5, how good could it be?

Godfather's is still rockin' and rollin' til the break of dawn with sixteen locations to serve you in the Portland metropolitan area. I'd be happy to do somekind of Berlin airlift of the stuff to you. Unfortunately, like Thomas Wolfe said, "you can never go home again." I'm sure when you were a pog-collecting tyke, Godfather's was the proverbial bee's knees. Now I find their offerings taste more like the proverbial bee's anus. Back in the early '80s, my family ate at Godfather's every week for two years and I still have the stretch marks to prove it.

As I have never experienced this "Sbarro's," I'll go with Papa John's. There is something about that cloyingly sweet sauce I find hard to resist.

I remember godfathers. There was one in Rockville by my dad's work. When we visited him on weekends when he was working, we would go there. Or maybe to the Chesapeake Bay Seafood House. Those are gone, now, too.

I voted for Domino's. It really varies from location to location, 'cause where I grew up it was the best chain. But i've moved and most other places where i've had it, stinks on ice.

There are these plaes littered aropund the Philadelphia area called Donato's which is brick oven and seem to be pretty good. Have yet to try it yet.

When I first moved to central Jersey the best thing about it was that in New Brunswick and South Brunswick there is a Little Caesar's to cover each. I coul dhave shit. I remember working there during my Jamesway years and bringing pizza to work for the night at the store and how my one Assistant Manager told me not to put "swimmers" on it. Great times.

I won't eat at Dominoe's out of principal alone. They don't use real cheese.. How can you NOT use real cheese? That's vile.

Papa John's has th best crust and how you get the garlic dipper for it rocks.

Stuffed Crust at Pizza Hut was always great. I still enjoy that greaseball delight every now and again.

Most of the chain places do stink compared to the mob run "family" owned indie shops. You just know going to Nino's/Bravo's (my hometown Perkasie, PA) or Lorenzo's (South Street Philly) or The King of Pizza (Cherry Hill, NJ) you are going to get some good quality thin crust pizza. Great shit. I hate to eat it hot but adfter the pizza has gotten almost to room temperature but it is still warm. That is the best.

Sbarros. At least they sell decent calzones, instead of this "P'Zone" bullshit that Pizza Hut tried to pass off to us.

Ah, my dear Mojo, the truth shall set you free:

http://www.godfathers.com/splash.htm

They even have some Virginia locations, though they're probably pretty distant.

Sorry, but I don't trust any pizza place with a mission statement.

Bertucci's, although it totally SUCKS, was great before they went all franchise chain-y and expanded beyond their original location in Somerville and the one in Harvard Square.
All the same, their pizzas are far superior to any of those mentioned in the poll.

That said, I pick Domino's for the same reason that were there a "best mall chinese food" poll I'd pick Panda Express over Wok 'N Roll despite the fact that neither is exactly chinese food. They're not really the real thing, but you have to appreciate them for what they are.

It's a toss-up.

Domino's has that great cardboard flavor that I lived off of in high school.

Pizza Hut had that pizza buffet for lunch.

What to choose? What to choose?
