I think I pulled a muscle

I think I pulled a muscle in my right arm. it's been hurting me since friday. i can't sleep because I can't get comfortable. I put icy/hot on it, and that didn't help. i took some vioxx, that helped, but when it wore off, the pain came back. it's not intense, just irritating and steady.

suggestions?

If it hurts just sitting there with no movement, try wrapping it in a heating pad with a damp washcloth between the skin and the pad. If it hurts when you flex it, try and isolate where it hurts and apply ice to that area. Also, try using a sling, because the weight of your arm hanging is probably causing some of it, a sling will offset the weight and allow it to heal.
