After all these years, I finally got to see Fear of a Black Hat. And I thought it was great. Also saw CB4 this weekend, and it was good, but I think I still prefer Fear of a Black Hat. Anyone else seen both these movies and have a favorite?

Never saw Fear of a Black Hat. Could someone describe it?
I loved CB4

Fear of black Hat is pretty similar. It's basically the hip-hop version of Spinal Tap. So much so that there are scenes which are almost the same. But it's still worth a watch. They do a good job parodying just about every hip hop group that was popular up to that point.
It's playing a couple more times on IFC (for black history month):

I haven't seen Fear in years, but I caught part of CB4 again this weekend. Both are very funny, tho'

Fear of a Black Hat hands down, although I do like CB4 as well. I think Black Hat made all the jokes that CB4 wanted to, and I think Black Hat made them funnier. CB4 got a bigger push because Chris Rock is a much bigger star than Rusty Cundieff.
I saw Fear of A Black Hat for the first time about 6 years ago, but it wasn't until watching Revenge of the Nerds a month or two ago did I realize that Tasty Taste was the gay nerd, Lamar.

Ice Cold: Right, but see actually that shit was supposed to be NWH - Fear of a Black Hat, then subtitled Don't Shoot Until You See The Whites.
Nina Blackburn: Of their eyes?
Ice Cold: Who's eyes?
Nina Blackburn: Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes.
Ice Cold: Nah, don't shoot until you see the whites, period, that's it, end of story.
