just to be the conspiracy theorist for a moment, but i would like to know how much the fcc has invested in sat radio. even though it's out of their jurisdiction, they seem to be pushing to get "edgy radio" off the air waves.

I've never listened to Bubba, so I can't have a valid opinion about his show. I know he's stolen bits from Stern and O&A, so I figure him for an untalented hack...

With that said, fuck the FCC. They're using the Superbowl to bully the media and extend their power. Fuck, even if it was a no talent like the Greaseman, it shouldn't be the FCC who says whether or not his shit goes over the airwaves.

Funny, I was listening to a clear channel station breifly yesterday afternoon and they whole show was about erections. Well, not erections, but if the guy was excited about something he would refer to it as 'levitra.' And then play a clip from the commerical about erections lasting longer than 4 hours.

But then it _was_ a sports show.

for now satellite may be out of their reach, but with CC financial investments in XM, it might only a matter of time before the FCC begins to question the standards of satellite .....

there's speculation that cable tv might be held accountable for indecency .....

there was a great episode of frontline (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/porn/) on pbs that implied that if it wasn't for the administration's focus on homeland security and froeign wars after 9/11, the bush regime was planning an all out 'war' on indecent media ....
