I laughed at these two (http://www.homefrontcalgary.com/announcements/index.htm) commercials.

I like at the end of the Boardroom one....when he throws the stapler at her, and the Restaurant one...theres just something sorta hot about when he has her on the table and pours the coffee on her.

I'm at the office and have no sound on my computer.

I watched those in abject horror. Does the dialogue make them funny because from a purely visual standpoint, I found them disturbing.

And any man who beats up a woman deserves to be anally raped repeatedly by a pack of syphillitic homeless men who smell of soup and faeces.

And if he does it in front of her children? The homeless guys should be allowed to pour lemon juice and salt into the guys ass after raping him.

I laughed when he called the waitress a" fucking bitch" but throwing a pot of coffee on her was disturbing.

I laughed all the way through the first one, and through the second one, until the woman slid off the table crying. That's when my conscience had enough, and I started feeling really, really bad.

I don't know who in Canada thought those would get the point across about domestic violence, but they don't. Both spots come across cartoonish, like some dark comedy, instead of serious and poignant as I'm sure they were meant to be.

You're right, WWFallon. They're not meant to be funny but they sure turned out that way.

i laughed at the boardroom one, and yes the stapler at the
end was a nice touch.

but for some reason, the restaurant was disturbing. it was
the coffee i think.

That's because he got some on his own hand. That must have hurt. The poor thing.

They were disturbing, and I don't think they'll have the desired effect.
