They have announced that the lawyers are letting R&F have a boxing event, and that Mikey D will be fighting Wonderboy. It's scheduled for St. Patrick's Day (March 17). Details as to location are to come during the show.

NE isn't that bad......just like any major city, be street smart, try to walk with someone, stay in lit areas or take a cab. Don't stay in SE (i'll admit, it's bad). Try to get a hotel in NW if you can afford it.

I have also heard from reliable friends that have gone to Dream in the past, do not park in alley ways stick to the paid parking lots. You will not save any money when your car is either stolen or broken into.

I believe there is a pay lot right across the street from the club.

What I have heard from friends that have gone to Dream in the past is that you do not want to park on the street or in alleys. There are a lot of crack heads around and they will break into your car.

Your best bet is to park in a paid parking lot or park at Union station and take the shuttle bus to the club. I heard it runs about every 12-15 minutes or so. Doors open at 6pm and the shuttle starts at around 5:30pm. I will confirm info with Wonderboy so I can post this later on today.

I picked up a flyer for the event at the station last night. If I recall correctly, it said there was free parking, although I don't think they've said as much on the air. I'll try to remember to check the flyer tonight and confirm that there is free parking.

Well, I went to the event last night and had a great time!

Got to meet a lot of folks from RFnet for the first time.

The pick-up shuttle evidently didn't start until around 6:00ish, which I didn't realize. I called WJFK and the woman who answered the business line had no idea there was even an event going on. To be honest, she almost sounded vague on who Ron and Fez were. Sigh.

I called Dream and they don't answer the phone after 5:00 PM.

After an hour of standing in wind and rain while trying to spy a shuttle, I found another couple of lost souls and we tumbled into a cab for the 10-15 minute ride to the club.

The doors opened up around 6:15 or so. There were metal detectors and we all got frisked. So at least everyone got a little bit of action last night.

BoboGolum took some great digital pictures and I think he's planning on sending them to a mod.

As mentioned by someone else, Ron and Fez stayed for quite a while after the show and took pictures, did the meet and greet, and Fez even danced a little with one of my cab sharing friends (a girl).

Lot more I could share, but I don't want to bore anyone.

Thanks Jafter for seeking me out via e-mail before the event to let me know you'd be there and how to find you.

There were too many others I met to list and a few of the names were lost in the booming salsa music that took over after the show.

Can't wait for the next event!
