Taken from dcrtv.com and allaccess.com:
PRODUCER - THE DON AND MIKE SHOW - WJFK-FM seeks a full time Producer for The Don and Mike Show. WJFK-FM in Washington, DC is searching for an aggressive, passionate, creative producer of the nationally syndicated Don and Mike Show. We're looking for a very hard worker and someone who takes pride in booking topical, current and quirky guests. You MUST have a strong Rolodex. Your life should be wrapped up in the world of entertainment and pop culture. This position requires the ability to think big, production skills, knowledge of current events and the ability to get the best out of the show they produce. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a team player who should have a minimum of three years experience as a producer on a major market morning show or at a major market news talk, sports talk, or personality talk station. Your duties include show production (digital production experience required), screening phone calls, scheduling guests, archiving and logging shows, helping in picking show topics, developing ideas, and various other duties, as assigned. On-air abilities are a plus. If you are a hard worker and take pride in your work you could be a major contributor to WJFK-FM. Send resume, 3 references to Cameron Gray, Operations Director - WJFK-FM/Infinity Broadcasting Corporation
Now how many of these duties can WB actually do well?

Reading this makes me wonder if Cameron even cares about Ron and Fez. Wonderboy seems to have very few of these skills.
Ron: Are they lifeguards or lifepussies?!?!

Well, despite the fact that he wasn't their first choice, it was Ron & Fez who chose him.

From Friday's DCRTV:
Broyhill Leaves D&M - 3/5 - WJFK-FM's Don and Mike announced on their Friday PM drive show that their producer, Charlie Broyhill, is saying adios. DCRTV hears that he's got a new gig lined up with Westwood One/CBS Radio sports anchor (and new Redskins' play-by-play guy) Larry Michael. Broyhill started as a call screener at D&M's show and recently married former show staffer Lisa Herndon.....
Billy has been with the show since he was in high school, back in the 1980s. He didn't become their producer until the mid-late 1990s, then he went on to another job with WKJFK; Robb tried his hand at it, and then the job went to Lisa, who Charlie married. About a year and a half ago, Charlie came back as their producer.
For the most part, D&M have never had anything spill onto the air with their producers, but by accounts Charlie was/is great. It's funny how these producer jobs have acted as a farm system for WJFK - as most know, Cameron was the prodcuer for G. Gordon Liddy and later The Sports Junkies, and was really good at both.
On an unrelated note, has anyone heard anything about El Jefe's new job at WJFK as assistant program director???!!! Was it mentioned on any of the shows?

I have to wonder (heh) how much of this stuff that we hear on the show is for real and how much is done for the sake of Teh Funney.
You are a bad person.

9miles had it right. Don and Mike are so bad that they have to get 75% better than they are now just to get all the way up to awful.
Don and Mike is what middle aged midwestern conservative types listen to when they sit around and compliment each other on how wild, wacky, and zany they all are.

I'd like to remind those of you from the NYC area that those two douchebags couldn't get more than a 0.1 in the New York market (which is the #1 media market in the country) and you guys wonder why they suck so bad. To those from D.C.....You have my sympathies and maybe the powers-that-be at WJFK will give them a send-off they deserve.
A silver bullet to the head, if i had it my way :eg:

This might have been a really timely and relevant post had it been 2002...and this was a Don and Mike or Opie and Anthony board.

(And I'm guessing you can't get access into one of the D&M sites, and things are boring as hell in the O&A forums?)
Actually - you are wrong.
Their final book in NY, which, when it finally came out (obviously) after they were long gone had them over a 2.0, which was better than everything else on WNEW at the time, except O&A...which is a moot point, really, since this is a Ron and Fez board, and with few curious exceptions, ratings are (thank god) not that big a deal.
Next time, try and be a little more relevant (the thing w/ the D&M haters that bugged me most was not that they hated D&M; it was that they didn't know how to properly hate D&M!); mention getting thrown off the radio for 2 weeks for saying "Shit" and being mentioned in Congress by Mel Karmazan; mention how there does seem to be a legitimate freeze between them and R&F that appears to go back, oh i don't know...6 months or so; look at what happen in Philly when they left WYSP; or you could look at the newspaper from today, instead of message boards from two years ago, and see how their ratings have tumbled like a sack of garbage.
Of course, doing that would open up how all the shows on WJFK (with the exception of one) tumbled as well - no, it's not Stern, nor is it our buddies, Ron and Fez...sadly, O'Reilley seems to be finding an audience.
Any-who...
Don't pity Washington DC listeners. Many here seem to have no problem turning off what they don't want to listen to, not give it a second thought, and especially not parrot back a comedian's death wish for random, anonymous radio personalities.
