I've had the hiccups for a half hour.

Make it stop.

You forgot the part about wearing the plastic bag over the head.

Try my grandmother's remedy from the old country- pretend to be senile and run over your grandpa with the car!! I'm not sure it will cure your hiccups but because of the insurance it's worth a shot!!

There's this one song- it goes "wastin' away again in Margaritaville"..... ...I forget the name of it but Billy Joel rules!

I think Billy Bob Joel also did a song called "in the middle of the night" or something like that.

For some odd reason...i like that song.

Damn that freak on the piano.

My grandfather has been hospitalized for the hiccups.
Last year at christmas he'd actually had them for 6 days and was so weak (he couldn't sleep!) that he actually collapsed christmas morning. There's nothing doctors can do to make them go away.

His brother actually died while he was hospitalized with hiccups. It's sad... but it's also pretty funny.

Margaritaville is by the great Jimmy Buffet, who also gave us the fantastic song, "why don't we get drunk and screw?"

One possible cure is over 300mg. of Thorazine. Doesn't always work but when you're desperate...!!! It's in the PDR!!!

I find a spoonful of sugar makes them go away. Or that killing yourself thing works too.

Diabetic. Can't tolerate the sugar. And fake sugar is too pixie-stix like and makes you choke....and die.

I guess death really is the ultimate solution.

Someone told me this one a long time ago and it seems to work. Get a mouthful of water and then put your head between your legs, then swallow. It usually works for me.

So either that, or the death one. Either one is good.

The rest of the movie would be mostly filled with Lobo wiping out villages of people, yelling at hospital patients and head-butting mimes.

But I like pixie stix. Can you really beat something like sugar flavored with sugar?

Besides, remember the immortal words of Bart Simpson when he said "There's no sugar in pixie stix!"

this sounds silly but it works (just don't poke yer eye out) get a glass of water and a butterknife, put the butterknife in the glass and set the tip on your forehead then drink the water as you rub your temples and the hiccups will stop.

Take a tall glass of water and set it on a table. Take the last 3 fingers of each hand and use them to hold the glass while using your index fingers to press your nostrils shut while drinking the entire glass of water while also using your thumbs to press in your ears. Works for me. Try it next time you get them.

Believe it or not, this has worked for me a few times. Get a paper pag and break into it, within minutes the hiccups should go away.
