16: Ready And Willing To Die

I just saw an article on Drudge about a suicide bomber who was stopped just before he could finish the job, and the pictures really struck me. I don't think I've ever actually seen a picture of a suicide bomber PRE-EXPLOSION, and it just took me aback. This dude is 16, looks normal enough, and he's strapped, and ready to blow himself to bits. I know this is nothing new, but it was actually SEEING the face of someone who was potentially seconds away from decimation that really grabbed my attention.

It is sorta freaky. Usually all you get is a picture or their arms or head 30 feet away from where they blew themselves up. Hopefully this kid realizes he has a second chance and he'll make the right choice.

Makes you really wonder what's going on in these people's heads to strap explosives of that size on their body and use themselves to kill others. Sick.
