So I was doing my New Jersey State Taxes for 2003 tonight.. And there's a section now for the "New Jersey Use Tax" where you must pay 6% sales tax on any goods purchased over the internet. I started thinking about my amazon bill alone.. books, dvd's, shitt... what about poor shleps that bought pc's online? This is the first year I've seen anything like this (I previously thought that internet tax moratorium (sp?) took care of this but looks like state can do whatever they want). Anyone know about this. Anyone claim there purchases??

I found this on a website some time ago...also as far as I know it really only applies to large purchases made over the internet. If your purchase was less than $100 I don't think the IRS will find out. But, larger purchases I think they look for when looking at Internet and mail order merchants books.
For items that are purchased via the internet, telephone or mail-order catalog, use tax is collected in one of the following ways:
1. The state has a line item on the annual income tax return that asks the taxpayer to include the use taxes in the computation.
2. The state has a specific form that a consumer completes and sends in with the use tax payment.
3. The state is aware of companies making "big ticket" sales to out of state residents and asks for and receives the data necessary to send a bill to the taxpayer.

You're fuckin' it up for the people that's in the streets.

Not the people City Hall*.
All you motherfuckers in the streets it's time to rise up,
Come along children and fuckin' rise!
Lots of times when me and KG are watchin'
All the fuckin' shit that goes down at City Hall*,
We get the feeling we should fuck shit up,
Yeah we should fuckin' start a riot.
A Riot!
We have 'em screaming in the streets,

and settin' fuckin' fires!
and settin' fuckin' fires!

I was told it's also on the NY form this year, but I haven't done my taxes yet, so I can't say for sure.
