Is there an easy way to take a table with data created in Microsoft Excel and paste it within a webpage?

I created a employee list for work which has all the employees listed alphabetically, with their extensions, hours, etc which will be really useful for the office, but I can't paste the data into a webpage without all the data in the cells of the spreadsheet getting pasted into one cell on the webpage?

I can do it for you if you send me the table. I use Frontpage and you can import the excel table.

Go into excel and select

File -- Save as webpage

It will save it as html. you could then view the relevant code and paste it into your editor

I was intially trying to do it in Dreamweaver, though Frontpage is a little more friendly with it.
But for some reason, some cells won't center or the formatting won't change no matter what I do
with it.

Also, I tried to save as a webpage, and while it does do that, I also get lots of trouble playing with the formatting in either Front Page or Dreamweaver.

Also, in case it matters, I'm using Excel 2000 and Frontpage 2000. Is the 2003 version of these programs better for doing this?

Have you ever used the paintbrush formatter in word or excel? You can try using a cell that works fine, and using the formatting paintbrush in the other cells that are giving you a problem. Maybe this will help. Sometimes is meta formatting that is the problem.

The prob is any microsoft program will add lots of garbage html. Try to do all your formatting in Excel then save as webpage. I have Office XP at home that I've done it with.

That's what I was doing, but I'm using Office2k at work. I may have to upgrade it Office XP.

It can def. be done in 2k. Do not spend the money on the upgrade unless there are more reasons. Did the paintbrush thing work?
