if someone wronged your family, and you had the opportunity, would you take revenge? i'm not talking about vengence, but correcting a wrong with force.

It's hard to tell monsterone. My initial reaction is yes, but then again I'd have to know more. I believe in reactions that are somewhat proportional to the initiating action.

But it also depends on the severity of what they did and the resulting impact on my family. I also try to play it a little smart and figure out how to get revenge without it coming back on me or my family.

Case in point: An apartment complex in NC cheated my wife (fiance at the time) out of her deposit and they knew they cheated her. They had signs sitting out on the road talking about specials and why they were so great. For the next year and a half I stole all of their signs and the replacements until I felt that they had spent an amount on new signs equal to what they had taken from my wife. They hurt us financially, I hurt them financially.

One of my personal rules is to never take revenge on an ex. Even if they are whores and wrong, I do try to not take revenge. Unless they did something to my mom or dad or someshit like that. Then it falls into the wronging of the family category and I will flip.


But on the other side of the coin, if some kid did something to my sister he will be dead. There have been a few cases like this, and it was not pretty.

Quick Story:
I have only been in 1 real fight in my life, and I am 23 years old. I have it a few people, but never a real brawl except this one time.

Anyway, I go to school in newark, NJ. (NJIT for anyone wondering or who knows the area). Well anyway across the street from my school is Central Highschool, which is not know for its high academic standards to say the least. I was dating this girl and I was walkign her to her class. Anyway I just left her and my friend and I were walking to class, pass central. This kid hangs out the window and yells "Hey white boy". I do not even look up, i was not really paying attention. he yells again and i look up. he yells something i can't understand. I had no idea if he was talking to me or my friend. Anyway we keep walking and he throws a fucking pencil at me that just misses my head. so i turn around and look up(he was on the second floor). so i said "you got a problem?" I was smiling cause i found it amusing. He yells "you stupid white motherfucker". Now i have no idea where this is coming from, maybe a white teacher gave him detention or something. Then he throws a fucking snapple bottle at me. it hits the ground thank god. anyway i am still not really mad and still laughing a little. So like a wise ass i yell hey for a black kid you have shitty shot. Now my friend busts out laughing, embarrasing this kid. He yells "I am going to wait for your pretty girlfriend outside of that building after her class"

That is all he had to say. I fucking FLIPPED. BTW, there are cops at the corner about 700 feet from where this is happening. So i start yelling at this kid from the street all types of sick shit. Telling him to come down and I will fucking kill him, yelling "I will fucking bury you on MLK BLVD you Mother fucker." Just going nuts. There is now a crowd forming. This kid leaves the window and runs out the front door. By this time, the cops are there and restrain us. I was so pissed and upset I did not even go to class. Good news is the kid got in trouble for throwing the bottle and nothing happened to me. I did wait for my girlfriend outside of her class just to make sure she was fine.

I have a high tolerence for bullshit, i usually laugh at everything. I am DEF. NOT the guy at the bar pushing people and starting shit. I like to go and have a good time and relax. But like Monster the new Intern said, when it comes to Family and loved ones it is just a different ballgame.

Revenge is a dish best served cold... depending on the situation and how your wronged family members would react I definitely would take revenge and I could give you some great ideas. 8)

Not anymore - that wacky Karma stuff has finally sunk in. That said - I try to work to make sure nothing bad happens again; depending on the point of view, however, that might be considered revenge.

Even if I am passive in the situation, in a moment of weakness I might secretly relish something bad happening to a bad person.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes. if my kids were f'ed with by someone ( adult )say, a molester or abuser of any type....Id have my male family members slowly torture them to the exts family extent they deserved. which would equal TEN times worse than whatever it was that they did to my babes.
