No electricity= uninhabitable

Yesterday i got a letter stuck to my door stating that part of this boro's municipal code states that an apartment is uninhabitable if it does not have electricity. Why is that? Is it for the no cable i have, or the no food in my refrigerator?
i haven't gotten a check in more than a month, but they have no problem with me not being able to buy food.
If having electricity is such a necessity, then they shouldn't be shutting it off in an affordable housing building, and i shouldn't have to be paying for it. i especially liked how my building let me know that i have one day to rectify the situation or be evicted.

i don't know if they meant to turn my electricity off and just fucked up, but mine is on; don't tell about it. Its just another situation of the man trying to hold a brotherman down.

Temporary disability, and the Dr. last signed the slip in February. He's had the new documents in his office for 3 weeks and still hasn't signed them.

They didn't turn off his electricity and my guess is he's using a 56k modem.

I'm on short-term disability, too. FMLA keeps my job safe for 12 weeks until I'm ready to return.
