how do you go about buying stocks without paying some type of fee, like if you buy it online you have to pay a fee of some sort, how do you buy it without any fees?

I haven't used this service, but I've heard good things about it. It's called Freetrade (http://freetrade.com/) by the folks at Ameritrade.
