I have heard on cartoons and some older movies the terms " what in tarnations.." and "What in the Sam Hill.."<P>

1) Is it Tarnations or Tar Nation if the later where is the Tar Nartin and are the new borns called Tar Babies.

2) Is Sam Hill a Person or the name of a famous Hill.
