with the nice weather we had this weekend what did you do?
if you didnt get chance, what do you plan on doing with the future nice weather?
this is the time of year when i start going to the batting cages, its perfect batting cage weather. my new job is right by the cages too, so thats even better.
i also want to start rollerblading around the neighborhood again, or going down to the park.
my parents have started to garden and i just stand there and watch, thats not really my thing. but i love this time of year, not too cold and not too hot.

I took my son out to the park for a potato sack race until I realized that I don't have any children, so I ran away......midgets can be clingy....

So this is probably going to be the warmest day of the year. So it's the best time for a water main to break down the street, which caused them to turn off the A/C in my building. Now they run the A/C even in the winter because our building generates so much heat with the computers and the servers and the humans.
Good times.

They don't like to be called midgets anymore. I think the PC term nowadays is "height-challenged, beady-eyed, shifty garden gnomes".

Finished painting the Baby's room.
Ordered the baby's crib and a rocker/glider for the wife.
Saw Kill Bill Vol. 2
Took a nice walk on Saturday and then sweat like crazy on Sunday wondering what happened to "spring temps".

I got to cut the lawn and do some cleanup work in the yard. I cleaned out my mini cornfield and i'll be tilling it soon and will get ready to do battle with the squirrels. I've got fox piss, netting, and rat traps. I think some peanut butter covered with bird seed will work nicely.
isn't nature lovely?
Will also be getting the vegetable garden going and getting all the flowers in soon. Then comes opening the pool. Alot of work but it seems the rewards are worth the effort...
ps: even though it's been cloudy outside when you're on the board it's sunny every day!

I had a true Boy Scout weekend with my wife and son. We went to the go-cart race in Prospect Park on Saturday and we walked 12.5 miles in the Multiple Sclerosis walk from the South Street Seaport in Mahattan to Brooklyn and back on Sunday. Included walking over the Brooklyn bridge.

It's been really hot, especially today. I've only been outside for about an hour to play basketball, but once I was finished I was sweating like a nigger on election day [/OReily Reference]

On Saturday I went with Amy to a place called Jersey Gardens over by Newark Airport. It's a HUGE outlet mall. It was the first time I've been there. It was incredible how much was in there. Me being from New York I've only really gone to the Tanger Outlet Malls. The Tanger Mall doesn't come close to what this place has.
By the time we got out of there it was getting late. Though if this weekend turns out to be just as nice we've got some outdoor activities planned. Plus I plan on kicking her ass in the batting cages!! :)

I hate this weather.
Generally, I like rainy weather, with temperatures in the mid to high 50s.
I don't mind warm weather, so long as its the 60s / 70s. I don't care for this high-80s, pushing-90s shit. Especially not THIS early in the year.

actualy i have the pump rifle where you unscrew the metal tube that holds the bb's... i'm just not a great shot. i have better luck throwing rocks. And not only the squirrels but there a bunch of blackbirds(cackles i think) 'you'll see these birds chasing hawks away from their area' They live in the surrounding trees and they got their nests going. It turns out they love to shit in my pool and on the surrounding walkway. I can vacuum the pool in the morning and have at least 30 lumps of birdpoop in my pool by afternoon.
This is before the pool is ready for swimming cause i don't have a heater. They do it for about 3 weeks and then all of a sudden they stop. They even carry their poop in their mouth and drop it in the pool.
I'm starting to realize these fucking animals are getting the best of me. I threw about 500 rocks last year but sorry to say i didn't hit one, just makes them cackle. I want to climb the tree, get ahold of one of their babies and hang it by the neck on a line over my pool. Maybe that will scare them off.
