Shortening an mp3 file?

i'm trying to throw an mp3 on a cd, but the file has a duration of 80m32s. Does anyone know of a way that i can shorten the thing so that i can throw it on a cd?

There's a free utility called MP3 direct cut that will do this.. A google search should turn up a download site.

I've heard good things about AV Music Morpher (http://download.com.com/3000-2170-10284827.html)which is a free mp3 and other media editor.

If you want to play with pure professional audio editing I use Steinberg WaveLab (http://www.steinberg.net/Category_sb.asp?Category_ID=10&langue_id=7&Family=0) which is excellent.
