Hello Folks,

That's right, if you don't know about it already, There's going to be a FREE Tribute band show @ the hard rock cafe on FRIDAY MAY 21 including the best U2 tribute on the planet (Geez, I'm modest) 2U (Formerly Joshua Tree)

2U - The Ultimate U2 Show (http://www.notu2.com)

Opie and Anthony will be hosting (so I pulled a few strings) and the evening will double as a "pre welcome back to the airwaves party" for Op and Anth.

FREE tickets available (while they last) at the Hard Rock Cafe box office on West 57th, 3 bands performing, along with many surprise guests and show regulars.

We've extended the invitation to R&F, and I'm sure if it's at all possible, they'll try to be there as well...Looking forward to seeing some old friends and new at this show!!!

The Tickets are free, so they won't be distributed from anywhere but the Hard Rock Box Office...I spoke with management today and they said they've mailed tickets to people that send a SASE. If you really can't get there, you might wanna try that...

Two things..

1) No way I can get tickets before Friday. Can anyone pick a bunch up and I'll meet you out front of the place the afternoon/night of the show? Or is it one per person?

2) If I don't get tickets, which at this point it does not seem like I am going to be able to, does anyone know what the best time to get there to get into the show will be? I can get on a train to NYC by 5pm and head straight there. How early does a 10pm show usually fill up for people who have been to such events?

Tickets are no longer mandatory for getting in, but it is recommended that you get in early if you want to make sure you get in. If you want to actually get a ticket (not sure if that gives you any priority) you should be able to still pick them up at HRC.

Yeah, no Opie, and no announcement of where they'll be when their Infinity contract expires (unless they said something late after we left.)

Anthony teased the situation, though. He brought up the fact that people wanted to hear where they were going to end up, and then he said something like, "If I could give you an 'XMple." Everyone thought he was giving the information away, but then he said "If I could just be 'Sirius' for a minute." and then started talking about 'Clear Channels' of communication. He also said something to the effect that he wasn't able to make an announcement because they didn't know what they were going to do themselves.

Jersey Rich took lots of pics, so I would guess that they'll be up soon.

great night overall by everyone. It was cool to hang out with everyone from the board, but it sucked that Opie didn't even show up and Anthony teased us with telling us...which he didn't end up saying anything.

Honestly I didn't even like Rush until I saw 2112 live. The guys were very good and cool and everything and I actually went out and got a Rush CD the next day.

"2U" is honestly one of the greatest bands i've ever seen live. The vocals were locked down, the music amazing. Their set of songs was perfect. Amazing tunes, and I loved the lovely 2U female followers (I don't want to call anyone groupies or insult anyone in anyway) but they were very hot.

All and all I was hammered and had a headache for two days, but it was worth it. I can't wait to see 2U again!
