Hey Ron and Fez.. you guys wanted public shame..

Ron and Fez were happy that Japan was using public shame to humiliate the Japanese hostages when they came back home. They said that America needed such a thing but has not been able to do so. Well, I found a story they may be interested in which relates to what they were talking about.. public shame by the government of US citizens.

I believe this has something to do with R&F having a discussion on last night's show concerning the Japanese and "shaming" the hostages when they returned from Iraq. I wasn't listening very closely last night, but I seem to remember that he found that oddly hot, and I think there was a general consensous that we need to shame more people here.

In any event, this vague thread aside...why is it when someone posts something directly related to something that happens on the show in Feedback or General Discussion that they immedatelyy get their balls busted for not providing the *proper* context?

A reminder or a question to elaborate is one thing, but it seems a given that the person posting the information will be made to look stupid because others aren't listening, can't listen, or haven't listened yet.

Since you say "This vague thread aside", I assume that you are talking about other specific threads?
LordJezo went back and explained very nicely in a way that refreshed the memories of those who heard the segment and also gave enough context to it so that those who might get to hear it on tape delay (other time zones) will keep an ear open for it.

If I were to make a random comment about diminishing returns of WB's work as a producer, not everyone would necessarily recall the segment I might be alluding to. Additionally, not everyone can listen to ALL segments all the time. That shouldn't preclude them from being able to comment on the thread idea. A couple of sentences of explanation go a long way (especially towards including those not in the immediate listening area).

That being said, I'm fairly sure that there is a diminishing return on the impact of my response with each typed word, so I'll end this post with a thanks to LordJezo for the clarification.

i agree with Curtoid,
the Rocky series should have stopped after Rocky III.
Rocky IV was ok, but not necessary. and Rocky V was just plain horrid. Rocky III had everything. Mickey died, apollos friendship, hulk hogan, a run on the ocean, he loses to Mr.T, only to win in the end.
Rocky IV ruined it by having that robot, killing apollo, and having current events played out in having the evil Russia as the enemy.
no doubt Rocky VI would have an afghan with a turban on as the bad guy.

as for public humiliation. as long as it's not me, I'm all for it
