I have been having this weird sickness for a few days. When I wake up, I feel like Im about to get bronchitus(sp?) and I went in today, after having an interview yesterday, and everyones asking me how it went and my head starts spinning. Im having a hard time concentrating and several times I felt like I was going to puke. So, around 12pm I'm sitting there and my heads pounding and suddenly I feel like Im gonna puke and I run to the bathroom and I threw up. I started feeling better, but when I came out, everyone was saying I should go home because I look so bad. I left and called the doctor while heading home and he says to come over when I get back. He examines me and says its weird because he had several people come in with the same illness in the past few days. He gave me Z-Pak and something for my stomach. I'm home now and have been taking it and also some robitussin in case its in my lungs. Anyone else having this thing? I am also taking that Airborne stuff to bolster my immunity. I feel ok now, but think it'll get worse tomorrow morning for some reason, unless that Z-Pak thing knocks it out. I am worried in case I get accepted for the other job that I'll be sick and I dont want that to happen.

Wow Im sorry to hear that.

I plead clulessness when its peoples health; but know ya did the right thing; puking suddently is a 'Ok Lets go see an MD or go to an ER Now' situation.

Again clueless; but were you out of town, or take a flight or eat someplace or something different? Trying to isolate/eliminate some possibility of a weird bug.

Office sickness from some weird chemical around is not uncommon either. Wow thats all I got. Hope ya feel better SR!

Don't think about it and it will go away.

That's what I did with my girlfriend anyway.

I got really sick like that the other night but it was really awful because I was driving home at the time and I could just tell I wasn't going to make it...

I somehow managed to swerve over to the side of the road and open my door before....

blech. It was awful

I didnt go out of town, nor am I pregnant (but some women might be ;) ). I seem to remember about a week and a half ago I was eating and felt a cough coming on and inhaled sharply with some food in my mouth and could swear something went down my throat. So Im thinking that maybe it got caught in my lung or throat and its irritating and my bodys trying to get it out. I dont seem to have a fever, but the doctor said he thinks its a virus.

Anyone else having this thing?

I had it a few weeks ago. I went to see my doctor but he wouldn't see me because he didn't take my insurance anymore. So, on to the emergency room. They said it was early bronchitis plus a viral infection and gave me a Z-Pak (Zithromax) too. It took about 2-3 days for the Zithromax to kick in. After that I felt alot better but it still took another week for viral infection to clear out.

Sometimes when you inhale something into your lungs, it's called Aspiration Pneumonia. I wouldn't fool around with this if this is what you suspect. I am NOT a physician nor do I pretend to be but I am in the medical field and have seen this many times. Don't fool around with your health and seek advise on a message board..go to a doctor!!

My school had an outbreak of whooping cough. If that helps, or perhaps I just like to talk about the things in my life.

Ok; it's quarter to three on a Friday; SR must be in the office; Hope you're feeling ok. In fact; an experiment; I am sending out good health ani-nausea vibes to SR71, and if we all do the same; maybe we can generate a healing force that either makes him feel really good, or, make his head explode like in the movie Scanners.

Cant quite remember which happens...

Feel Better you High Altitude Spy Nut and Check in!

I called the Dr after reading Reeshies post and mentioned the food inhalation thing and right away he's like it could be Aspiration Pneumonia! So he calls over to the radiololgy dept of the hospital near me and orders a chest x ray. I head over there and they bring me right in. A gorgeous hotty x rays me. She brings the x rays over to a doctor in there who does a preliminary check and he says it looks ok, no sign of pneumonia. They tell me they will look at it in greater detail and my doctor will call me back. I go home and in about an hour the Dr calls me and says it looks fine, no sign of it. whew! At least I have an idea it wasnt that. I took Friday off too, and the Z Pak seems to be doing the trick. Thanks for the advice guys!

Duke, dont be embarassed. the School should be.

My second teaching Gig was at a Big School; well over 1,000. Anyway this Fuckwad of a School Nurse was Gone all the time. And it was ONE Nurse for all those kids. I complained; they were simpathetic and did Nothing, another chip in the wall towards me eventually leaving the schools.

Have your parents, or yourself; go right up to the Principal, and ask: What is the procedure for an emergency mediacl situation when the Nurse is not in School, or not able to be located, please?

Good Ole Bobby, every time I saw him Id yell 'Get out of that Chair Youre FAKING!!' the kid could barely walk with crutches, and he Loved it. And in a fire drill I wheel him out, and if something happens that prevents that, I carry the kid. No worries here; Glad and even a bit Proud to carry Bob around, another reason for me to tell him hes Faking, but Fucking A the Medical Facilities at Schools SUCK OUT LOUD.

Sounds like worms, to me.
Bastards get in your intestines and grow and grow and grow.
When you puked, did you see any little flat pieces in there?
That's how they tell.
Pieces of the worm will break off, but it won't die because they're like a weed.
They just keep right on-a growing.
