I wish going to the store would actually get rid of my allergies.
Zyrtec-D is the only thing that even remotely helps my seasonal allergies, and think it's entirely because of the decongenstant in it. It doesn't actually block any histamines or any of that technical allergy-speak, 'cuz my mouth and eyes still itch.

For about 10 years I had the worst allergies. I took every allergy medicine out there and they all worked for a while but then the started to have no effect on me. Dust, grass, pets- everything got to me. I looked like I was crying for years my eyes were so puffy and teared up. Then the allergies kinda just went away and Ive been fine for the last 2 years or so.
I hope you feel better -allergies suck.

Today my fucking allergies are killing me. Anyone else have bad allergies? if so, what meds do you take to control it. for me, it is just my eyes being itchy as hell and my contacts driving me crazy

Fat Can Relate: Sunday Afternoon He Was Weeding In The Back And Got Stung By A Bee Or A Hornet RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES! In About 10 Minutes, His Forehead Swelled Up The Size Of Half A Hamburger Roll.
Fat Hates Doctors, So He Just Took Some Benadryl Every 4 Hours, And Smeared On Ultravate (Very Strong Cortisone Creme) Leftover From His Last Poison Ivy Attack.
Well Yesterday The Swelling Moved Down And Puffed Out His Lids And The Already Baggy Bags Under His Eyes To The Point They Were Almost Closed. Someone Said To Fat "You're A Fool, Go See A Doctor", So Fat Went To The Doc This Morning And Guess What He Tells Him: "Take Benadryl Every 4 Hours And Here Is A Prescription For Ultravate". Damn, Fat Shoulda Saved Himself The Trip And The $40 Co-Pay.
Anyway, If Allergies Sufferers Routinely Get Swollen Eyes, Fat Feels Sorry For Them, Because It is No Fun!

I get sneezy in the early spring/late fall. Claritin is my best friend during those times. One tab in the morning and I'm good all day.

You Ain't Kiddin!
I have had horrible asthma since last week and am on tons of meds to try and control it.
Still have a pseudo-smokers cough and havent been able to exercise the entire time!
With all of the meds/fatigue/allergies I have also developed a persistent migraine.
Sooo aside from being drugged up and still feeling like ass, I am also a pure joy to be around as it is my PMS week.
Poor Fallon....

I go for the generic CVS stuff, works just as well and saves me a few bucks each time I gotta buy it. I get nailed with tree pollen every year. The pollen is really bad in this area, I can't wait to move.

I used to have the worst allergies too...so bad that i would go into coughing attacks where i'd pull muscles in my rib cage.
I finally broke down and went to an allergist and ended up going through the allergy injection series.
It has made the biggest change in my life. Pine pollen is awful here in NC in the spring, everyone is stuffy, red-eyed, runny-nosed. Not me...I could cut up a huge line of pollen and snort it up and not be the least bit affected....it's the best...
totally worth having to get my injection by nursing students who didn't know how to give an injection properly...(built up my pain tolerance too...)

i used to have really bad reactions to grass and pollens when spring time rolled around when i was younger. they have really calmed down in the last few years. i think freshly mown grass is the worst smell in the world because i knew i would go into a sneezing fit and have my eyes swell up. one good thing about it was my mom never made me mow the lawn when i was a kid.

Day II of the Annual Migraine has begun.
Took an Axert last night which got me through the game but woke up this morning with the same symptoms.
Just took another Axert and hoping it kicks in.
If not... my butt leaves early today.
Things are very foggy.....

I got them bad this year and it really started a week ago. I'm feeling a lot better now but there is still residual congestion that I can't get rid of.
