there arent many of them out there anymore but thank god there was one at the atm after me yesterday. i was on my lunch break and in a rush to get money and get my food so i didnt have to scarf down my food. everything was going wrong. finally i found an atm that actually worked and i was in such a hurry that i forgot my card in the atm. i called the bank this morning (with no problem) and thank god someone turned it in. i know how lucky i am that someone had the heart to turn it in instead of going on a shopping spree. so i just wanna thank all the honest people out there, it made my day.

You don't know how many times I've mailed in a wallet, credit card, license, or bank card when they're turned in to me at work. In my opinion, there is no other choice. I find out where the person lives, and I send it back to them. It's the right thing to do. I wish everyone would see it that way.

One time I was in the city to meet some friends, and I stopped at an atm at Grand Central, during rush hour. As I'm in the cab, I go in my pocketbook to get ready to pay. And my $100 was nowhere to be found. Checked my pockets, nothing. Turns out the retard that I am, left the cash in the atm machine. Luckilly, I had just enough to pay for the cab and give a tip.
I'd lose my head if it weren't attached to my body.

That happened to me 2 yrs ago leaving the bar. I dropped $200 in the cab. I wasnt even drunk, just tired. Woke up the next day....looked in my wallet and fucking freaked out. Thing is when I was getting out of the cab I sorta remember seeing something on the floor out of the corner of my eye.......

[color=purple]I most definitely agree about honest people and wish they were more the norm, but how would someone have used your ATM card absent your pin code? Is it also a credit card??

my cousin left his cell phone in a cab once. the guy who found it made so many phone calls. racked up a nice bill.
I found a wallet once, filled with over 500 in cash. I called the guys whose wallet it was, found the number on his buisness card and returned it. He tried to give me 100 dollars, but i refused. he was one of the happiest people I have ever seen.

One time I was in a hurry and left my wallet at an ATM machine. I ran back 5 minutes later and it was gone. I was frantic. I went home and there was a message on my machne from someone who found my wallet. I met up with her and all my money and credit cards were still there. I tried to give her a reward but she refused. I was so happy and relieved that I try to do the right thing whenever I find something that's been lost or left behind.

When I was younger I was a scumbag. I found someone's car keys in a resturant and didn't turn them in. I just took them with me.
Karma is a bitch, though. About 3 months later, I lost my car keys (my only set) and had to call a locksmith to give me new locks and keys.
From that point on, I changed my evil ways. The next time I found my neighbors wallet and even though I think he's crazy, I called him immediately and then I returned it.

Once a guy found my cousin's cell phone and was pretty much trying to con us out of money for its return. Me and her brother met with the guy and we were so sure that we were gonna get jumped when we had no reward. Lucky for us the guy just gave it to us with just a nasty glare.

You could have just called the cops if the guy was trying to blackmail you to get your cell phone back.

cops don't come to canarsie.
And that's not the way to solve the problem when the guy could just find us. Slumsville, ya gotta love it.
And the guy was a 6'2 black guy and had at least three of his friends upstairs. No way even if me and my cousin could take two guys that size, we weren't gonna be able to take 4.

I always like to think that I'd do the right thing. I like to think a lot of things.
Although, the last time I had forgotten items somewhere they were returned to me. So I guess I'd pass on that good deed.

I know I'd be the same way, in that I'd turn it in. Part of me would most likely think for a second about going a mad shopping spree. But I've lost my own card in ATMs so I know what it's like.
