RnF's show last night

Not only the boys, but all the shows on WNEW did a fantastic job.

I don't know about everyone else, but it was comforting to hear people like you and me talk about what happened, and when reports continued in, not hear it from an excited news man, but from the people I listen to every day like RnF and O&A.

Thankyou guys for doing a great job last night, and we know you will do a great job in the days to come

Yes, I agree with both of you. It was a good show last night. I fell asleep with it on. They were on so late! And I'm very impressed that all shows are going commercial free for like 2 days now! That's pretty cool of them.

And I've even started to listen to Don and Mike! I HATE their usual show, but I want to hear what all the people in NYC and DC have to say about this.

And it's cool how they go back to 1010 WINS here in the NYC area for some "hard news". Now I don't really have to turn the station off at all.

What makes the two shows good is that they are more human than the news services. The news shows only give us like one or two quick soundbits, the best they could get. The "Oh my god", the "I thought I was going to die", what makes the O&A and R&F shows great is that you actually hear stories. You hear details. You hear more of the type of emotion and honesty and facts than all the John Montones in the world could deliver. And that is one of the purposes of talk radio that is hardly used- to let out your grievances, tell your personal tales of horror. It's not just sex and fart jokes.
