Is it possible to send the same email to a number of people at the same time without the each of them seeing that I'm sending it to others? In other words I generally I have to send the same email request off at work to three different people. I'm curious if there's something I can put in the To: field that will mask the other recipients of the email from seeing that others are getting the email as well.

I'm not talking about using the blind copy feature Bcc:, but rather something would make it look to the recipient of the email that they were the only person who got it. When in fact others got it as well.

Is there a reason you don't want to use the BCC option? It doesn't typically show up like a BCC in many e-mail programs.

Keep in mind that I am talking about putting every name in BCC and no names in the TO: field.

Unless things have changed in email, I seem to remember something where if someone hit Reply All that all the people copied in the Bcc field would get the response.

What I mean, is, I once saw where someone sent an email to a number of different people and copied myself and others in Bcc. However one of the people hit reply all and everyone who was sent the email got the reply. That kind've thing can be dangerous where I work if it winds up in the wrong hands.

I have the same question. I have about 1000 people I want to contact but I dont want them to know that im sending the same letter to 999 other people. The email thing I use is kinda hard to understand...I always have to send the email to my aol account to make sure its right before i send it out to companies.

Johnny - your issue is a little simpler. If you are using Outlook (or any of the main e-mail programs) then you just need to set up a mail merge. It will send out the e-mails to them individually.

You can set up the merge either through a filtered selection from your contacts or by using either a database or spreadsheet as your data source.

I'm on Hotmail, still, like a chump...how can I do it? Because, like everyone is saying, I end up basically writing the same letter to like 200 people, and I want it not look like I'm sending a mass e-mail...especially since some of the receivers automatically block anything being sent to more than one address at the same time.

Look on download.com for "mass mailers" or do a mail merge like Jeff said.

You are asking for help to send SPAM? And you are having trouble finding out how to send it?

Just want to be clear.

No, not SPAM...look at it like this...you have 60 people you want to write e-mails to...but you're essentially going to write the same thing to each one (What I've been doing, where I am, how are you, blah-blah-blah), and the e-mails end up being pretty long...so instead of writing a draft and saving it and e-mailing it to each address, you can send the one e-mail to everyone at once...but you want to do that without a huge e-mail list showing up so the people don't think they're just getting some SPAM or forward or whatever.

Basically, I want to save myself five minutes of time.
