The Pentagon would. Too bad I'm not in the hardware business, I would be making mad loot selling the Defense Dept. hammers and nails.

No one has ordered it yet.
When someone does, then call CNN.

Just saw on CNN that someone did order it. And he was planning to expense the meal (something about doing a story for a newspaper or something.)
Sylvester Stalone was in the resturant and said something about it, but I could never understand a word out of that fuckers mouth. He didn't get one.

An average IVF cycle costs around $8,000 plus meds, and you can have as few as 3-6 viable eggs after fertilization.
That's over $1,000 an egg.
Don't you think there are people in low or no income brackets who raise an eyebrow at the idea of going to a nice restaurant and paying 10 times supermarket prices for their steak.
For some people, $1,000 for a meal isn't a problem. Everyone's perspective on what is reasonable and what is outlandish depends not only on where they are looking, but from where they are standing.

Maybe twice the price. Not ten. Prime beef is expensive no matter what!!!!!!!!
And I don't mind paying a lot for good food by no omelet - not even including the privilege to sit in any restaurant - is worth $1000.

If you order you beef well done, it's not prime in the first place. It's whatever low quality cuts they have around - after all, they're basically just burning it.
Besides, using your argument, there's some justification for the cost. Caviar can be fairly expensive no matter what. This particular caviar is $65 an ounce (that's the cost to the hotel). Which means that you are getting $650 worth of caviar.
I like caviar and I've treated myself to some expensive and inexpensive caviar before. I'm not in a position to spend $650 on it, but I have spent $100+ before. Given my current level of income vs expenditure, I wouldn't do it now. But it's awfully easy to judge someone else's purchases based on our own bank account.
I say if someone can afford it and wants the omelet, Buen Provecho!
