Another Snakehead has been caught in the Potomac River.
Invasion! They'll eat all the other fish, then crawl out and eat your plants, your pets... your children!
They are, after all, a voracious alien species
An angler caught a northern snakehead fish over the weekend in the Potomac River, the third time in nine days that the voracious alien species has been found in the river. (http://www.wtop.com/index.php?nid=25&sid=205154)

Another Snakehead has been caught in the Potomac River.
Invasion! They'll eat all the other fish, then crawl out and eat your plants, your pets... your children!
Upon further investigation, the creature turned out to be House Majority Leader, Tom Delay who had become entangled in the fisherman's line while out for a swim in the river.
The warnings about your pets and children remain in effect.

I heard the snakeheads actually killed Tony Randall but the government doesn't want us to know.

I've actually been to that giant muskie. It's up in Wisconsin, and it's actually a museum on the inside.
And there's only one way to take out those damn snakeheads...

Since 1997? C'mon. Those Joes have been not asking and not telling for a lot longer than 7 years. Especially that Roadblock. He's so big and sweaty holding his massive weapon. Oh yeah, he has a machine gun too.

Well, the site I stole it from had only been around since 1997, and I was just too damn lazy to find another group shot.

Virginia Creates Task Force To Deal With Nasty Fish (http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0504/147604.html)
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries has set up what it calls a Snakehead Fish Incident Management Team to deal with issues related to the recent findings. The snakehead - imported from China - can destroy an ecosystem and live out of water.
Ecosystem destoryers. This is the beginning of the Yellow War. First they send the snakeheads, then they invade California. There's a billion of them!!!

<p>Well, nothing was done. Now they're here. Now it's war. Soon small dogs will start disappearing. Then children. A couple of Japanese imports will be reported stolen. No one will think anything is wrong. Then one day you're sitting on the toilet. Is that an itch? You look down.</p><p><a href="http://www.dailypress.com/news/local/virginia/dp-va--snakeheadrun1011oct11,0,5615640.story?coll=dp-headlines-virginia" target="_blank">"They're in there by the thousands. You could see them literally coming up along the banks. The ones we caught didn't even put a dent in them," said Hammond, 43, an avid bass fisherman from Florida living here temporarily. "We would throw one in the cooler, two others would jump out and we'd have to chase them through the woods."</a> </p><p><br /> </p>

as a reefer, i see lots of n00bs asking questions about "well, when this fish outgrows my tank, i'll just release him into the wild".
nothing is more dangerous that that. the introduction of non-native species / bacteria / etc can literally wipe out a population before the natives can develop a way to defend itself.
this is how the snakehead boom happened.

Exactly... that's why I quoted the "source" reaction:
An Environment Agency source said last night: “The reaction was, ‘Oh s***’. This is the ultimate invasive species — if it starts breeding here it’s a disaster.”
Right. Although I think it would be great if more agencies made statements like that.
Mike Brown of FEMA: "Oh shit... we're not prepared. This is the ultimate fuck up."
