If you were PD where would you schedule R&F?

You just bought a radio station and have unlimited $$ and have lured Ron and Fez to your station.

The problem is that you have to decided which time slot to put them in.

Where do you think their type of show is best suited?

I put 11am-3pm, simply because that would be considered a promotion for them. In all honestly, though, I would like them better in the evening, because it just has the late night vibe - however, it really should be the full four hours.

Someone really needs to shit or get off the pot there at WJFK! I know that the 10am-3pm rating period does well because it is a combination of Howard Stern, Don and Mike, Ron and Fez (all for one hour each) and two hours of Bill O'Reilly, but it is a mess!

ONE SHOW - ONE GOOD SHOW! Is that too much to ask?!?!

Here's a work around for the brain trust...

7-10/M-F - Ron and Fez do their show; even Mondays they start at 7pm.

10pm/M-Th - They do "Fastest Hour" LIVE during the last hour of their show.

10pm/Friday - No fastest hour; just the regular show (all the fun seems to get started at 10pm on Fridays anyway!)

11am/Tu-Fri - The fastest hour from the night before is rebroadcast the next day at 11am.

11am/Monday - Redskins Radio moves from Monday evening, to Monday day, after Stern; since you don't want to rebroadcast the fastest hour from Friday, and since the point of this whole exercise is to take some heat off of R&F, then they get Monday AM's off.

There...until a full time, 11am - 3pm show is found, this is next best choice.

When they were on NEW in New York I liked them much better in the evenings than I did the afternoons. Not that there was anything wrong with the shows, but it just seemed to be a better show with better callers at those hours. I put 7-11.

It seems that most folks either want the 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM slot (2nd place) or keep them where they are in the evenings.

I'd be happy with either slot and as Curtoid mentioned, just having them for 4 straight hours would be nice.

I'm actually suprised that more people didn't want the afternoon slot as that picks up a lot of the people commuting. You have better chance at picking up new listeners.

Was afternoons not an option because you loose too much of the Instant Feedback or do you really think that the show's format won't translate well to that timeslot?

I've always felt that the nighttime slot while great because there's a little more flexibility in what you can probably get out over the air, really limits how many listeners you will pick up as you are competing against the magic talking picture box and it's primetime scheduling.

Would opinions change on time slot if syndication were an option?
