I gotta go with Monopoly on this one. I'm sure this has been posted sometime before, but hey, I'm special.

I loved the games that looked better than they played. As kids, we made our own rules for games like "Oh What a Mountain" and "Mousetrap". I know there is a new crummy version of "Mousetrap" out.

And those games that are awesome now, but hard as hell to play when your 7 like Shogun and Axis and Allies. Unfortunately, they take forever and it's hard to find someone in their mid twenties who have the time and want to play. Dam those games rock.

Umm, yeah, I think I did see a movie with that name. But I don't think it had to do with the board game...

Worst board game ever: Battleship. Basically teaches you how to lie. "C-12". "Uhh, no - you missed."

MouseTrap: hilarious. Nobody knew how to play that stupid game for real.

Sorry was a great game. You could be spiteful and vicious to your opponents. Knock their little game pieces across the board to put them back in start. Revenge was always the main objective for me.

not a boardgame but
cooties, or memory.

otherwise for a real
boardgame??
I had this game from maybe
sweden called 'Labyrinth'
and it ws definitely the best
game ever. the board had
scare pieces glued on, and
then you had to place tiles
sandomly on the board, and
they would form a labyrinth,
and you each gota list of
things you had to get to
(they were on glued down
square) and there was one
extra square, and you'd use
that to push whole rows or
columns of squares so that
the other end would go off
the boar, anddifferent
corridors and things would
line up and you could make
it to your goal, or els eyou
could do it to screw the
other player so they couldn't
get their thing. it really
rocked.

candyland = not bad, either.

Pshaw. A good game should take an entire weekend. When I was 10-12, I'd have a ton of friends over for the weekend and we'd just play one giant game of A&A. Then we'd take breaks to steal dad's porn.

Fortress America was pretty bomb-diggety, too.

What was the game where you had all these different geometric shapes, maybe 20-30, and you puched this center button down and hit a timer and you had to put the geometric shapes where they belong before the timer hit zero and the thing you pushed down shot all the pieces out.

Looking back, seems like one of those tests they give to Chimps.

What I find a amazing is you don't even need the board anymore. Now all these games can be played on the computer. I play scrabble on my phone.

Use to play this one board game, it was like Monopoly but called it Vegas Stakes. Came with a little roulette wheel and little slot machine. mmmm wonder why I can't stop playing blackjack..mmmm

Still play stratego..electronic battle ship and scrabble...so i get to know how dumb I really am..."Hey it's my 12th three letter word...your turn honey"

I can't find a picture of the box, but this was my favorite game when I was a kid. You had a small plastic tractor-trailer, and the objective was to make a run from one end of the country to the other. I always used the green one, which was the "Green Goblin" and my mom hated the game because the police were called "pigs" and you had to make sure you didn't get caught by them.

You would roll the dice, and pick up a card. The card was basically some other trucker telling you something, like "storm ahead" so you had to wait a turn. Or the card would say "there's a pig behind you" so that meant you got pulled over, or had to go to jail for something like a bad logbook, whatever.

Anyway, I just thought it was cool I could play a game where the cops were the bad guys. Kinda explains my license being suspended by the time I was twenty. Oh well, live and learn.

Anyone remember WHICH WITCH? Board divided into four quadrents and you drop a WHAMMY BALL down the chimney to see what room it would wipe out.. Good times..lol
Any game with a WHAMMY BALL is ok in my book.

Also I love Sorry, just cuz I dig yellin SOOOOOOOOORRRY when I slide someone back to home...And Scrabble is just an alltime classic....See ya

Pulling an all-nighter, playing Risk and drinking beer.

agreed. many a night attempting world domination. stratego is also great. like chess for retards like myself, but the best game for me while sinking into an inebriated state of bliss will always be backgammon.

I love "Happy Days" not the smartest but I have always loved it mine has a Budweiser cap and one of those little plastic bread clips for lost space holders.
