Everyone's afraid, it's natural, and I'm sure HK could back up that with some helpful thoughts...seeing the coverage and being totally emersed in all the video and info and terror of this horrible act, is bound to have an affect on you.

I know it's hard, and I wish there was an easy answer, but the best I can tell you is to not let the terror win...that's what these terrorists want. It's easier said than done, and going out side is pretty damn scary when bomb threats are being called in and you feel unsafe...but it's the best I can tell you.

ALICE - Saying that "none of us can give in to that" is great in theory.

It ignores the very real feelings of fear, horror, danger, shock, numbness, etc, that people feel.

What you're feeling (fear) is 100% normal. It's a feeling shared by many many people.

One of the bad things the media is doing in reporting how everyone is pulling together and how it's business as usual, is that it makes the many people who do not feel like this feel bad, or worse, even abnormal.

All thoughts that you have now are completely normal. Do not feal bad if you are afraid, or numb or still in shock or whatever. They are all completely normal and valid feelings.
