Ok, I admit killing animals is not cool. But really it's gone too far. There were skunks living under my house and my dad and i wanted to kill them and we decided to call the police just to see if it was legal because we have bitchy neighbors, and its illegal to shoot a skunk or any other pest animal. That is crap. They are just animals, not people. I admit they might be cute and some may have expressive eyes and shit, but please tell me i'm not alone in feeling like alot of people care more about animals than they do about people. I've got feelings for animals dont get me wrong, if anyone messed with my dog i would flip shit, but as far as birds and other pesky animals go. They are supposed to be managed. It's gotten so bad here in CT that there are more deer per square mile than people, and its a pretty populated area. This is crap

Hey funkman.... this remind you of anything???

some may have expressive eyes and shit
This made me giggle. I found my dog's shit to be most expressive after she ate a tootsie roll with the wrapper still on.

Everything I think I see becomes a tootsie roll to me!

Call animal control! Let them deal with it, that`s what they get payed for. Could you imagine what the cops at the desk were saying about you guys for asking such a question! Think of this, the next time your at a resturant and you go into the mens room to lose a few pounds and stink up the place, ask one of the patrons to go find someone w/ a gun to blow away your rotten , `roid ridden ass!

Woah, that was kinda harsh!

I had to kill 2 racoon's within a week once and I tell you, I felt like such a piece of shit for doing it. I also had to kill a chicken once that was very ill and I felt bad too, but sometimes you just have to to put the animal out of its misery. Each time I did it I thought of the most humane way I could do it and what I did was in the case of the racoons was to take the cage that they were in and put it in a large plastic bag and attach it to and exhaust pipe. They died very fast, and I didnt hear it screaming or anything. The carbon monixide choked them very quickly. Either way it is something that you just have to do once in a while when you live in an area that has wildlife. The racoons attacked our chickens and rabbits. It had gnawed through their cages and we found this nice rabbit without a head and blood everwhere, it was clear that the rabbit was struggling and in pain for a while. It pisses you off when your taking care of them and spending all this time and effort to keep them healthy and stuff and then a predator does this.
In the case of your skunk problem, Id suggest looking for some way to force them to vacate. There has to be something they hate, like a scent or sound that will compel them to leave. Otherwise youll have to take drastic measures.

I think the objection may have been more over you and your dad unloading firearms in a residential neighborhood over a skunk.

Just call pest control, man. They get paid to handle that shit.

Powdered skunk repellant (http://www.critter-repellent.com/skunk/how-to-get-rid-of-skunks.php)

It is powdered fox urine. The fox is the skunks natural enemy and this will make the skunk think it is in danger and leave. Give it a try.

Have you tried painting a white stripe down the back of a black cat and getting it to lead the amorous skunk onto a cruise ship?

If that doesn't work check out: Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection - Skunk Nuisance Problems

Powdered skunk repellant

i got the 'liquid' kind from Franks Nurseries and it "stinks to high heaven" not 'low' heaven or 'medium high' heaven...

in my recollection(sp?) it is the worst odor i've smelled... except for maybe an old rotting deer carcass

Why would you go to the trouble of trapping an animal only to do the plastic bag and CO? I thought traps were a humane alternative where you could transport the pest elsewhere.

Nature would disagree, perhaps 'cool' is not the best word. But Nature is a killing machine; and that's before we ever showed up.

Gloversville man shoots dog
5/25/2004 6:42 PM
By: Capital News 9 web staff

A Gloversville man is behind bars after he allegedly shot a dog twice in the face with an arrow.

Andrew Jarratt, 22, told police he shot the dog after it bit him. The dog was taken to the Johnstown Animal Hospital for treatment.

Jarratt was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals under Buster's Law. Police said more charges are pending.

Jarratt is in Fulton County Jail.

here's the back story- there was this stray pit, and "supposedly" the dog bit him. so he shot the dog 2x with a 60 lb compound bow. 1 arrow was razor edged, and the other went into his snout.

the police have said that the dog was tied up, thus busters law, and he's on felony charges. i swear to god if i find this fucker on the street you might be reading about a curbing the next day. fucking cunt faggot.

ronnie put it best: animals in nature die aweful, aweful murders.

Animals in nature kill and are killed because their lives depend on it. They don't have non-lethal methods like humans do.

That's why there are animal cruelty laws. In most cases, killing an animal is unnecessary, people just do it because its easier to move a corpse than a live one.

what are non-lethal methods of killing?

Seriously, as to animal control, of course. As to survival, unless we all go on some massive vegitarian thing, we will continue to kill our food. Usualy have others do it for us, but we kill it; plant or animal.

Unless you eat those live monkey brains.
