Ron and Fez changing up the Fastest Hour

I heard that starting tomorrow that the fastest hour will be switched to the first hour of the night show.
I wonder what that means for the midday hour?

Small things changing like this is a great sign that syndication is roight around the corner!

Someone figure out the logistics for me.

Hopefully its cool that I started a new topic for this.

I love it, I've missed the 10-11 hour ever since the fastest hour replay started. The last hour has always been the funniest, plus I can't wait for the See Ya music to return.

So are they really moving the fastest hour or just dumping it? All it seems that they are doing is going back to how things were before. 7-11 with no fastest hour.

They are not dumping the fastest hour. The fastest hour will be from 7-8, more than likely a repeat of what they did at 11am.

Then from 8-11 they will do their show where they take calls. It will be interesting for people listening to WJFK for more than one show, because Don and Mike end their show at 7pm with doing the news, just as Howard ends his show in the morning (usually) doing the news with Robin - now both will be segueing into Ron and Fez's one hour newscast.

I'm willing to bet, though, that this was done because of the speculation that they will be on in Baltimore very, very soon.

As I said in the other thread, this switches up things nicely - since WJFK is running Redskins Radio at 7pm on Mondays, they needed some sort of programming for Baltimore during that hour.

I wouldn't be surprised that fastest hour isn't on in DC from 7-8 on Mondays only, while Baltimore will get the full block.

We will find out soon enough.

I love the fastest hour shows. I think from a programming standpoint at WJFK it just makes more sense to have the replay of the fastest hour between 7-8, so that the show can run live right into The Hideout. I would think that they would want to have live programming running from one show to the next. Especially shows that are as close as these two are to each other.

So at 7 will they do a show opening and at 7:59, a show closer, then at 8:00 another show opening and at 10:59 or so a show closer? Or will the first hour of the 7-11 show be news? Or will the 7-8 timeslot be a pepeat of what they did at 11sm?

I am against them moving the fastest hour to 7pm to 8pm. Yes it helps the hideout and it will take care of some of the confusion on Mondays with the Friggin Redskin show. But why would you want to go from LIVE radio to a tape show back to Live.

You have more listeners from 7pm to 8pm than you do from 10pm to 11pm. There are still plenty of people in their cars listening to the boys on their way home. Yes I love the fastest hour also but I think it would be better to have them on live from 7pm to 8pm. Not a sermon just a thought.

We HAVE to assume and guess about these things. JFK has a way of just not saying anything about what's going on changing, etc. Anyone remember when D & M were kicked off the air for a few weeks with no explanation until they came back?

Anyway, back to the topic, how about this? The 11 - 12 show will be a replay of the 7-8 PM fastest hour? I mean, most people turn off their radios for O'Reilly anyway. Who cares if he has a repeat lead in? I sure as hell don't.

No it is live and they are coming through loud and clear on both 105.7 and 106.7.

R&F Debut In Charm City - 6/2 - As expected, WJFK-FM's Ron and Fez started airing Wednesday on Baltimore's Live 105.7 in the 7 PM to 11 PM slot. Tom Leykis moves to the 11 PM to 1 AM slot. Still nothing about the changes at live1057.com.....

Fastest Hour at 7 is a little odd, but man...I am thrilled about them doing 4 hours of live radio tonight!

It was actually a best of three segments - the slogan contest - the "Hideout vs. Iraqi Prison" contest - and Fez drunk, where he made his hysterical comment about the fastest hour being so fast it was "sudden!"

Monday night was "Best Of" 7-8, Fastest Hr 8-9, R7F live 9-11. No Redskins radio, HOORAY!!!

So now 11:00 am 1 hour show is a repeat from the show that aired the day before, and they are on live 7pm-11pm (or 8-11 on Mondays) so they technically don't work a spilt shift anymore, they don't have to come in early to work at 11:00.

The best thing about it is that they don't have to pretend to be coming right back with the fastest hour at 9:5x - 10:00 pm (that was played/aired live at 11:00 am that morning)
