Grocery Basket Anyone?

I am teaching one of my autistic students how to use a modified shopping list to shop for groceries. I set up a "grocery store" in one of the extra rooms in my school. He even has a Waldbaums card!! All I need now is one of those grocery baskets where you carry your food to the cashier (or a small cart). I have tried two different places by where I live, and both were unwilling to either donate or let me purchase one of these items. If anyone on the board is able to get me one of these things (or knows where I can buy just one), please please please let me know!!! Thanks!!


EDIT: We need an old cash register (toy or real) if anyone has one of those as well!

just make one by melting a bunch of old 2 liter soda bottles. You can use a cardboard box as a mold, then spread the melted platic inside until you reach the desired thickness. Then, using a Dremel tool, you can cut out all of the little squares, and then sand them down. Once this is done, you can fabricate a plastic handle and you will be done.

See, easy as pie.

actually kat, i can possibly get it donated for you (your school, because it would have to actually be a business), i know alot of high ups in waldbaums. but you gotta wait a week and i can get you phone numbers.
*edit* i might be able to get you an actual shopping cart if you want, donated/delivered to your schools doorstep. not a promise, just a promise to try
