Enlisting can be a wonderful way of serving the country but there are other ways as well.

Married people and people with children in particular should look to alternate means of service.

I would also advise that anyone joining impulsively realize the comment that they are undertaking.
Its not going to be you signing up, us doing whatever military action, this thing dying down in the news, and then you back to what you were doing prior to enlisting.
You will have made whatever agreement , be it reserve or active duty, and will be required to carry that out. I know of the problem during the Gulf War when a lot of people that had gotten a lot of free college all of a sudden didn't want to be called for duty. We must try and avoid this as much as possible.
So please, be level headed and plan this out in advance.
If you do join, God be with you and good luck. You will have done your country a great service.
