Hi all,
I don't post often, but I wanted to tell you all that they are allowing people in the center island at Christopher and West Sts. to cheer on the rescue workers (it's wide enough for lots of people). I was there today and it was not only the single most patriotic event I've ever witnessed and been a
part of, it meant SO much to these guys (and women)...I really can't describe it. I saw many, MANY cops cry when they saw the crowd cheering them on. I saw some firefighters sobbing. They really appreciated and needed the support...especially those leaving the site and traveling uptown. I heard people start gathering around 3 p.m., I'm going around 5. Bring flags!
I want to carry Fez around in my pocket.
