I have family and people in
this world who love me.
I have my health.
Even if I'm short on cash, I
know I can always get more money.
I have had an extensive and
wonderful education.
I have never known oppression.
I have always been free to
speak my mind no matter how
unpopular my opinion may be.
I have never known true hunger.
At any moment I am free to
read anything from Mein Kampf
to the Lao Tzu.
I'm sure there are hundreds of
things I'm overlooking (partly
because I take them for granted!!)
Hope you all post!!

I wish I loved the human race; I wish I loved its silly face; I wish I liked the way it walks; I wish I liked the way it talks; And when I'm intoduced to one; I wish I thought, What jolly fun!

Well said Alice. You truly are a class act! ;)
Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called the children of God.
I am surrounded by my family and a multitude of friends on any given day.
I have known love in my life, (and I hope I've shared it with some of the aforementioned people)
I'm healthy, in an economically comfortable situation and everyday I learn something new and I try to share it with at least one person I encounter.
Most of all, I have my whole life ahead of me, and in light of all of this awfulness I have been shown what I value and what is truly important and so for the rest of my time I can try and remember everyday what I value and show people I love them without losing them first. In a way I, along with many others, got a chance to start living my life in a better way, and I agree with CYYFYY when he said that our new efforts shouldn't be a one-time or war-time thing, it should be a way of life. I think its because of this that I'm most blessed.

My God who blessed me and kept me from the debris and falling humanity as I ran away from the buildings during the attack.
My beautiful wife and family!
The Firefighters, Police, Emergency professionals, Soldiers, Citizens that keep us safe every day
Leaders of this country who will NOT let this act stand to destroy the United States Of America!
My friends that are still on active duty - especially my 2 best friends that are in EGYPT right now awaiting attack from terrorists or orders to implement the mission of the United States
My friends on this board, my friends in life everyday!
Ron and Fez - who have helped me stay sane and have helped me laugh at times when the shock was too much
SO much more!........

I have been blessed with an uncanny knack for finding only the greatest people on the planet as friends.
I burn with such passion and intensity for the things I enjoy that while it sometimes brings me devastation, it also allows me to experience highs of amazing intensity.
I was born with more guts than sense, and while that has sometimes been a detriment, it has also enabled me to experience some truly wonderful things.
While none of them have worked out (as witnessed by my still single status), I have had fantastic relationships with the most wonderful women God ever put on this earth.
I could go on and on, but I'll just say I also echo every one of Alice's, Gwen's, and LtRooster's sentiments, and that of all the blessings that have been bestowed upon me, I suppose the greatest is that I WAS BORN AN AMERICAN!!!

I guess I can say that I'm blessed that my soon to be ex-wife was late for work on tuesday(she works in the WTC)and that she's safe, that my brother's ok now, that everyone here appears to be better now, that America is coming together to help one another and that I have the freedom to sit at my computer and post to you fine people.

I am blessed by the presence of family and friends who I would do anything for and they would return the favor at the drop of a dime.
I am blessed by the daily encounters at work because I learn something new and I utilize it in anyway possible. I am blessed to have a career and will to go forth with it.
I am blessed to be in this great country and in a time where every person can unite in peace and mourning.
I am blessed to be an American.
